I've only just moved down a year ago, but was a North Island rider prior. the NI has some great rides, but the South Island is where you can expect the jaw to hit the floor

Had a mate & HIS Girlfriend rode down on a HD Roadking & she was on a Honda Rebel 500 on Restricted License & rode to Bert Monroe.They spent 3weeks down there & want's to go back down with more people. Route 52 Waipukurau to Masterton is a great ride & so is the Napier Taihape Road that's marvelous & good for Moto camping.So is round Lake Taupo & back country over to Taranaki.T100 looks better & has the larger fuel tank & higher seat Speedtwin 900 looks a bit cramped. Little Ghost has some good videos & rides a Motoguzzi Griso all around the South Island gravel roads too.

Did that ride last March on a BMW, the video brought all the memories flooding back. Just picked up a T120 Bonnie, the road is calling me! Great video, keep up the good work. Tourism NZ should be paying you commission!
The January deal was too good to resist, I’ve had the 900 too, I think the 1200 is a bit more versatile and the newer ones also have noticeable improvement to the front brakes which was needed in my view. I’m really looking forward to putting some miles on it
Thanks man, I had it in my luggage bag for a few days riding around the South Island before I decided to turn it on, I think the cold weather had killed the batteries, woops!
First time across your channel, I though it was very well done. Obviously well shot. A bit of conversation in the middle (maybe Cardona?) would have helped. The piano solo was horrid. Do enjoy some history of these areas. Have never been to NZ. Do like vicarious food too... Otherwise, new subscriber!!
