the srt demon is meant to be a (very) high performance limited production model though, the seats are removed to reduce weight. A lot of people don't realise just how huge of an influence weight is on a car's performance until they get gapped by some little shitbox hatchback because it weighs less than a tonne.

I do love how he’s such a good sport with it all though….especially when you consider the horrific nature of a couple of those crashes. Surely you saw what he did to that $2 Million Rimac on that hill climb in Switzerland? The one where he went flying off a twisty mountain road down onto a Swiss Valley? He just barely escaped from that Rimac bonfire! That was truly an horrific crash! Or how about his 280 mph crash in the Vampire Jet Car that put him in a coma?

I think hammond did it on purpose to stop them from actually fighting.
Just to clarify that they were all feeling like shit due to the crazy weather (humidity and heat). They did confirm that they felt like killing each other at the time.
I'd argue that's how you can tell they're all genuine friends: they all allowed one act of violence. The rock, the rock thrown back, and then Hammond coming in to break the tension the only way he knows how. It's kinda' beautiful.

IIRC, when he had the wreck with the jet dragster, a British governing body said something like 'Hammond did everything humanly possible as a trained driver would to avoid or miminize that crash''.
@Celto Loco the new top gear is pretty good. Not as good as this though. If you want more cars and less comedy then new top gear is fine.

It became a mix, which it needed to be. When they went to India in TG it all became comedy and the show was crap. Bolivia was the last show were it was not scripted way over the top and stupid.

I love how amazing their acting is, how they bring out the entertaining parts of their personalities and hyperbolize them for. They really immerse us in the arguments they have, meanwhile you can tell they genuinely are having a blast just messing around with each other.
Pure entertainment, pure hilarity. These 3 will forever be my favorite show hosts of all time. Their ability to go from joking about to being very informative of these cars, giving a good idea of their opinions and educated idea of how well these cars would be to own for their intended purpose.
All three of them are immense Geniuses who stoop intellectually for the sake of our comprehension.. I love how James achieves double entendre with every other word like when he refers to Richard's winch fantasy which is almost a wench fantasy
They achieved something I would never have believed possible. They managed to create The Three Stooges for the thinking man.. Their world-shattering record for television viewership is completely deserved.

Jeremy and James throwing rocks at each other I find hilariously one-sided. Mainly because James actually did put a minor shatter in Jeremy's windshield, but he couldn't break the Panda's back windshield I'm assuming because it is made of plastic.
Actually no, the windshield and the Rear window glass ("back windshield" as you said) are two different types of glass.
All windows except the windshield are tempered glass, which makes it relatively hard to break. The windshield, on the other hand is laminated, it is formed by two layers of glass with a thin layer of a transparent soft material between them, so that even if something hits the windshield, it won't shatter in a million pieces. Of course, the disadvantage to this is that this makes the glass a lot more prone to crack compared to a tempered glass unit.

These r just amazing. I have enjoyed watching them. I especially love all the specials. My favourite one is the Africa special where they go and find the source of the river nile and they turned their cars into camping vehicles.
That series literally inspired me to go get a c class station wagon for super cheap and drive all the way across America, got lost in a pepper field in new Mexico at some point and I got to Nebraska and that's where I decided I'm gonna permanently stay now😂
