Those in the know, would never do this 'cos of it getting snagged or just billowing and blowing off in real life. Everything on my unit's APC's was rolled and strapped down, including cam nets and hessian

For a few pennies, get the cheapest roll you can find and designate it for this purpose only. Chemical additives and oils in the more expensive rolls will influence the coloring over time, and some imprinted designs will show after drying.
this is so useful for my screwed up f4u corsair. I'm going to use this technique definitely to hide the screwed up area
