I just happened on this video and was impressed with the technique. Unfortunately, it's fallen into the old trap of 'draping' a tarp on an AFV. Those in the know, would never do this 'cos of it getting snagged or just billowing and blowing off in real life. Everything on my unit's APC's was rolled and strapped down, including cam nets and hessian
What ever happened to this guy
Cool weathering
Thank you ....🍻
Thank you......😎🍻🦾
Great work - easy to get product. What model was that tank? Are you making any more videos? I hope you’ve done more work.
This is an old video but I’m so glad I found it - I’m building a WWII patrol torpedo (PT) 109 boat and wanted to add tarpaulin ton the deck
War is NOT clean!!! They are supposed to be dirty and beat-up. At least that's how I do mine.
Looks good just ordered these today and wanted to see if anyone had used them on RUclips cheers for video review
Looks good but why are the exhausts attached to the model at this point? I´d done them separately.
It's a prebuilt RC, not a model kit.
This is some nice advice from you! Hope this channel would grow and people would see your content and your tutorials
thanks for this great video... I have been doing armor models since the 70's, and looking for the ideal weathering method for just as long, the end part where you brush on the filter to blend is ingenious! Not sure how I am gonna do this on a yellow and brown T55 Egypptian but there's lots of good ideas in these videos
Have you a Video for the Exhaust on the Tiger 1 ? , very good Video for 1.16 scale models thanks !
Top job buddy. Looks an awesome effect. Thanks for sharing👍😉🤓
Hi, you do not need to remove the filter from the brush! You are wasting the majority of your paint by doing that. This is akin to dry brushing a filter which defeats the object of what you are trying to achieve. You only need a small amount on the brush to avoid 'pooling' but certainly don't wipe the brush.
Great tutorial ,thanks a lot !
Magic! You're a craftsman.
I've always used a gloss before a wash, I thought the gloss helped the wash to flow better am I wrong?
Bloody brilliant! Cheers Steve
Your tank is a walker bulldog used in the Vietnam 🇻🇳 war,👍🏻🇨🇦
Walker Bulldog have one, Vietnam area.
a simple yet effective way thank you so much for the upload!
нихера не видно.
The white paint. Is that the primer? Then, you pre-shaded? I am planning to do the same on my HL T-90
That's a beauty alright! There's a hundred weathering tricks i want to try, but can only try on my test-bed "sacrificial" tanks and not my "good" ones... alas, after assembling, doing things over that werent quite right, modding, detailing and detailing again, i haven't yet been able to weather a tank to the "battlefield wreck" stage even when it would be approriate (a panzer Mark III or a T34 say), after all that effort and thought i find the very idea of turning my new prize into a rust-bucket is just something i can't bear to do!
Great tips. thanks for learning me Obi Wan......
Scale 1/16?
baby wipes also do the trick :)
Another good video, well explained. The initial white wash (previous video), weathering and shading are all well done. The 'bullet holes', not so much, a bit overdone. Overall, really enjoyed it.
Just came across this, nice work! The audio could be better but well explained. I like how you built up and layered the white wash, very realistic.
G’day, just found your channel, nice collection of videos. I have joined you and will follow your journey from down here in New Zealand…………..cheers Mark
Would have been good to see a before and after rather than watching use a brush for five minutes.
Would this work with acrylic paint as well, because I don't have an airbrush yet?
May I ask you where did you get the camo net for the barrel? I've been looking for some for my Tiger
may I ask what thinning ratio did you use for your wash
Hi there just been watching your video did you seal the paint with varnish before you applied the filter ?
I like these videos because you use materials that are quite easy to find! very good in my case!
this is so useful for my screwed up f4u corsair. I'm going to use this technique definitely to hide the screwed up area
Would this work with charmin ultra soft? only that's all I have
For a few pennies, get the cheapest roll you can find and designate it for this purpose only. Chemical additives and oils in the more expensive rolls will influence the coloring over time, and some imprinted designs will show after drying.
Just don't squeeze the Charmin🚽
Thanks for sharing this teqnique!!:)
heng long rc
very nice I have the same tank
very nice I have the same tank
you choose how many Bar?
Any ratios when it comes to the filler etc or fill it up to the brim? ps Loving your vids!
Excellent video! Thanks a lot for showing how you did it - I was curious when I saw the rust and marks video. :)
i like it as it is real,, im going to try this,ty
awesome ty
Thats how i like my dad
This helped a lot! Great tutorial!
