Nov. 19, 2022---I went a different route for barbed wire. I use bug screen as used on windows and screen doors. I cut the screen apart so I have "strands" and use at least 2 of 'em. Put one end in a pin vise, the other in my Dremel set at a LOW speed. This twists the strands easily and of course, making sure there's the same space between each strand. When satisfied, hit the "wire" with sprayable glue which draws within a minute or two. Good enough for my 1/35 scale dioramas and of course, will always have extra lengths to use somewhere else.
Hi I have a Question Pleas ... I'am from South Africa I'am a Bigener in Daorama and I collect Hotwheels ... but I can seem to find a place That makes 3D printing people for my Diorama is There a Nother way to make people for my Diorama
Hi Don, been following along with your videos and have to say very impressed with how you do it. Probably a silly question, how do you lay the grout on the building without having edges to get the correct thickness ? If that make sense lol
Just made so Don, works great. I used wire with a 1/4 mesh opening and the results are fantastic! Thanks again!
Wow got to be the best I have seen great work on this demo 🎉
Even if someone else has made a video with a similar idea I like the way articulated it and nice work on the diorama!!
Thanks for the info,it helped me a lot
Never seen this way to make barbed wire, but it's very good idea and also and a very nice result. thanks for sharing this Don
That's the best I have seen thus far! Thanks for the help sir.
Hello Don I have not seen your technique before so it is unique! Unless otherwise advised well done
Unique, simply unique💯❤️
Really awesome, thanks a million Don for sharing👍🏼💯
Wow, looks so easy to do. Remarkably! Thank you so much. I'm gonna do this.
Found it.
Yes, this is incredibly easier than the way I did it.
I'll definitely remember this the next time.
Thank you Don.

Love it.....will definitely be doing this for my equestrian dioramas.
best tutorial for barb wire!!!!!!
Nice job
It looks great. I've seen people doing the same but holding the wire in a drill which does the twisting really quick and tight.
That might work but chicken wire is very brittle and prone to breaking. Steady twisting manualy l think is better.
@@nanplabwern Good point. Don't want barbed wire (however small) twanging off into your face 😀
Very cool thank you.
I'm wondering Don if rodent mesh would be better, as its opening is 1/4×1/4 and the wires diameter is .6mm
Yes, a smaller mesh would be better
How did you make the concrete post the wire is connected to?
Just two pieces of 3mm cardboard and cut to shape then a grey grout to give it the concrete look
Thank You Sir!

What Guage is the Chicken wire You use Sir??
I'm not sure of the wire guage but it is 0.4 mm thick and the grid is 7mm square pretty standard size chicken wire.

I know what you mean, it's a case of feeling the right thickness. Too thin and you mark the bricks onto cardboard. Too thick is better.
