Growing up in Riverside, my parents sheltered us from this gruesome story. I would have been 8 at the time. Years later, my mom would talk to us kids about it in general terms. She would tell us about Mrs. Bunata (sp) the friend who didn't go at the last minute, and how her son, Bobby was dating Judy Oetting at the time. I think she said that they eventually married. I read everything that I could over the years, with total fascination. Thanks for this rivitting documentary. I'm sharing on FB.

Omg a maximillianmus profile pic from someone from my area. Used to talk to him often. BTW it's a totally safe place so you had nothing to worry about. :) you're 100x more likely to die at starved rock if you're drunk and/or going of trail.

They were having issues. In fact, one of them married not long after the murders. The husbands hiring someone is just another rumor.
