This is still the BEST photography channel on YT, hands down. No gear porn, cinematic intros, crappy and disturbing music. Just pure photography. I wish I could attend one of your workshops one day, Mike. Cheers from Poland!
Mike, Mike, Mike... I can't even believe you took those photos without the latest Fuji XT-4 camera (how dare you not post a review) and a Fujinon XF90 F2 Prime? Don't you want "buttery" bokeh? Shame on you! Mike, you are a voice of sanity in this unrelenting world of photo gear. Thank you so much for yet another informative and FUN video. A shout out must go to Alex for being such a trooper and "Joe on camera" for walking backwards a lot. This vid inspired me to grab my Olympus and take a photo walk.
Exceptional even by your standards Mike. Big thanks to Alex; What she wore taught me a lot about dressing for a shoot. Great stuff - Thanks for posting :)
Just probably the best lesson we could have gotten: learning by doing + real world examples ! Fantastic ! Great job, Mike ! All thanks to your model for her patientce ! And for her beauty, of course !
Just going through lots of my favourite Mike Browne outdoor videos. Still find them both entertaining and educational every time. Really looking forward to seeing more of these once the world gets back to some form of normality. Stay safe Mike.

It is always a great pleasure to watch your videos. Keep doing what you’re doing, and make them more frequent. I am recommending your channel too my friends interested in photography
I find my Canon 55-250mm is my go-to lens. Use it for all sorts of things from macro shots of plants, portraits, architecture, wildlife photography, etc. so I have it on my camera as default and only change it to a wide angle or prime telephoto when I have a specific objective in mind.
Cracking photos, Mike 👍 When I'm out and about, I sometimes try looking at how light interacts with different subjects. It's an important visual exercise.
Thanks for this insightful video. I like how you use the available surroundings to your advantage. No fancy studio or special effects, just a lot of imagination and experience...
I love your videos. They are very natural and show real world photo ops. This video show how you can take a good portrait any where! I will be sharing this with my camera groups. Just wish you were closer so I could attend your workshops.
Thank you photobug582. Well folks travel from all over the world to come on them, many are regulars and come on several workshops so they must be fun and of value. I hope you can make it on one some day my friend. Untill then be well... MIKE
Truely informative video. Inspirational bravery on a busy street while undeterred by crossing cars and lorries. It has been years since I attempted shooting with a telephoto lens, but after seeing this video I will try again.
Thanks for taking us along with you on this shoot. I have to admit that I would have been turned off by using an old restroom for light. However, as per usual, you show how to make things work. Truly hope you keep the videos coming. I really do enjoy them.
Thank you Steve. I've scheduled more time to do YT vids this year so more coming. Yes the restroom isn't the ideal place. 😆 I used it to make a point and show how great light can be found pretty much anywhere when you understand it and know where to look... MIKE
It's as if you knew my camera club is going to be doing workshops on the quality of light and shade over the next year. Uncanny! We'll definitely be referring to this video.
Fantastic video Mike which shows what you can do for publicity photos in a high street lovely use of Lymington and next time I'm down there might try and persuade my wife to pose for me.
Thanks Mike for the inspiration and knowledge. Good to see you back making these kind of videos. It reminded me of a video about the qualities of light which you shot many years ago around Bargate in Southampton. Got a feeling Alex was in that one too. All the best.
Loved the video Mike, and just subscribed, came to your channel after watching the interview with Gary Gough, That was such an inspirational interview, just going to grab a cup of tea and watch some more of your stuff. Thanks for sharing

(Alan)... A very good video Mike. I believe a telephoto lens (nearly) always gives you many options. Especially in blowing out the background in a busy environment.
Lovely video Mike. Have learnt so much from your videos over last few months. Everytime Alex was putting down her shades here and there, I was worried she will lose them. And I was relieved to see them in her hands at the next location.. ha ha ha... My specs and shades are the only things I have ever lost because I forgot to pick them up. Do advise her to learn from my mistakes and keep them in her pocket instead :)
I know this vid is old by now but it looks like you're using a fujifilm xt2 or something. Do you know if you can change K value with a dial on it, nothing in the manual tells me and it's hopeless to try to set a manual Kelvin number by number, takes forever.
You can set WB fuction to K onto one of the 4 way selectors. When you press chosen button you can quickly raise or lower the K value. Hope this helps... ... MIKE🙏😊

I don't pose people, just a bit of direction, show them where to be for best light and talk to them. Often pretend I'm not ready so they look around and do their own thing - then I pounce and capture it... MIKE 🙂
