Engine has the best user software out now and this unit can tap into to every need! Inmusic listens to dj needs, unlike serato which cares more about supporting new product and care less about djs older product updates!
The link with Vdj makes it possible to work with other djs on this unit!
This ia a game changer!
As far as the mic limitations u can run it through your own outboard processors. Reggae djs do this anyway so they can control all aspect of vocal delays n echoes at a dance. Thanks again Phil for going into dept no one has reached!

How do I record mcing over a mix?

Purchased mines 1 day ago,and I'm very surprised how smooth and fluid the tracks are and no hiccups so far ,far as streaming,.I'll give the SD card a run soon. Thanks for a great run down on this unit.

@@saltee2123 yes! The interface is nice and make it a breeze to search your playlist! Coming from a guy who’s never touched a set of decks, I’ve had 4 2hr practices and already starting to sound like a dj. Also switching is so easy on this thing!!

Awesome overview, this helped me figuring out a couple of things. But, I believe there's 2 omissions in the video:
- At 1:08:06 the Smartloop setting ís useful, as you have manual looping with the second pad
- At 1:15:24 Deck Color is useful, even though de Decks itself don't change colors, the on screen track do change colors. So you can use this to set a color on the screen for each 'Deck'. :)

If you can just drop a song in without being a " 21st century dj " and depending on all the bells and whistles, and completely rock a set, well you my friend are a true next level artist.

The Architect Of Sound: An isochronous instrument with so many possibilities and you are a cadre who is masterly at all of the hardware and software functions; as long as, DJs are as tenacious as you; then, they should be very successful. This is spurious because it really is not for a neophyte because there are many furtive but boon menu changes that you have to intuitively comprehend. At first; until, your demonstration I was congruent with Numark's idea about being perfect for a novice; now, this is a product for Pro with years of experience.
Phil, I just want to mention something else that is not relevant to Mixstream; yet, I think it is worth mentioning. When will they develop macros and soft keys; so that, when you do that one incredulous mix that we were only able to get it correctly once. Then, we would be able to call up the file and play it.This would be revolutionary and evolutionary. Thanks!
For mobile dj this will be the best tool hands down! No more laptops!

Yes, the 2.20 update has brought some good improvements.
I own ddj400 pioneer started djing with that and now i wana upgrwde to a controller with build in screen and wifi! While looking around i saw a gd controller like danon and pioneer are very pricy! Thank god for numark! I have my eye on this! Getting it soon!

After two weeks of trying to decide what to buy for my unique situation. I’m basically retired and just want standalone without spending insane money. It became clear to me after seeing the last couple updates they released there is no other option than this unit.

It’s not cheap feeling at all , much smaller that it seemed from photos , and honestly it has everything I used from the Prime 4 day to day if I’m being honest. Now I’m waiting for a motorized deck fully standalone unit to come out and that will be most likely the last piece of gear I buy
I found one on ebay for £250. Had to do a bit of soldering to replace a knob but now it works perfectly.

Three major things that really are good for the market, it comes with built in speakers! Really interesting and useful feature. Maybe one day they could put a Sony XB31 level spec in there. There's two USB inputs and an SD card plus the ability to stream.
It certainly has a unique balance of features.

Yep, great orientation. I am back in action with this thing..ripping up tracks off the beatport trial.. need to buy some tracks but I have been surfing so many new tracks and this thing bumps great with the built in speakers...highly recommend...

Why or how does it show to you automatically where intro, drop, breakdown and outro are? For me it doesn't do that, how do I turn it on?

Thanks for this clear instruction video Phil. I have been following you for many years and it has helped me a lot, both your reviews and your instructions. I have now switched from a Traktor controller to this Numark and the first impressions are very good. I particularly like the built-in display and after the latest updates, the effects are also useful. Still also a setback, both the effects (FX) and the Hi-Lo filter cannot be heard when I pre-list a track with the headphone, which I find very unfortunate. I hope I'm wrong but I'm afraid it really doesn't work the way I used to. Anyway, I expect to enjoy this set a lot and hope to see and hear a lot more from you in the future.

Just got my pro go yesterday and this helped a lot on things inwas totally lost on and couldn’t figure out. Can’t wait for the new engine dj update.

Wow got this the other day and watching and learning from this great video, thanks so much, for the price this is a little Powerhouse. For sure it's no top end club setup but the built in speakers are great for the bedroom mix or small room with a few friends. No laptop needed just put your pre loaded usb stick in and away you go, It could not be any easier. sits nice on my £6 laptop stand from Amazon which puts the screen and decks at the perfect angle and a padded carry case also from Amazon £30 unboxed and mixing within 15 mins of receiving it Love it.

I tried with DMX PAR led lights that works perfectly with my laptop and SoundSwitch but when plugged the SS wire to the controller the colors are wrong and functions too and in the Controller you can’t edit DMX adress and find model of lights !!! Plz make a video how to make PAR led lights and moving head plz no gigbar or Hue lights

Good vid thanks very much. While I find this unit useful for small events, I would say there is absolutely some deserved stigma with auto-beat-matching, no vinyl, etc. I don't even really consider this DJing. There is no Disc and you don't Jockey anything so EJing is probably more appropriate. But yeah I mean if you aren't beatmatching and monitoring your platter and mixing by ear then what the hell are you doing on stage? Hitting a sampler pad or holding an effect button down? I don't think there's something "more interesting with your time" that you would be doing when you are supposed to be mixing, which is a difficult and acquired skill.
But nobody's paying you to do the technical things, it's about what comes out of the speaker. That was how we were forced to do it back in those days, nothing more.

What an awesome video, thanks so much for putting this together! I've been using Engine DJ for quite some time (Prime 4, SC Live 4) and I still learnt a few handy tricks :)
Now, I've just received the brand new Mixstream Pro Go, and after playing with it for some time, I feel a bit frustrated. While I love the concept and all the features offered by Engine DJ, there are 2 features that I'm missing A LOT: beat jump, and loop in/out ajustements. In particular, the latter is so commonly used that I don't understand why it's not there. To the point where I feel I'm probably missing something, like a hidden (or not so hidden) way to do it.

Are you not aware of the internal memory unit , I've just bought one of these and it came yesterday so I'm just feeling it out...I read through a few items in the manual and the memory is on the Spec page.....Cheers man

I just received mine on Friday, having a couple issues with wifi, Tidal and beatsource ( maybe I need the paid subscription and not free one hhmmmm), but Dropbox, sd card and thumb drive are working perfect. Very helpful tutorial Phil!!!!

I also have my usb and se card full of music and can’t wait to get back onboard the Dj train. I used to DJ back in the early 80’s up until 90’s, picked it up again in early 2000’s but stopped, now I’m back at it and lots has changed from carrying record crates to thumb drives, hard drives and now streaming…thanks for the reply!!!
Update: I just djed two back to back parties and they went wild at both events, I’m looking forward to many more!!!!
Excellent video! THANK YOU SO MUCH. Thorough and concise (great for muppets like me).....now PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE can we have an in-depth video all about how to use the MixStream with DMX lights and using the SoundSwitch software etc. Videos here on RUclips regards the MixStream and lighting are VERY thin on the ground; you're missing a trick and will have loads of hits, I for one! ; )

No, Bluetooth will never arrive for DJ headphones while it has latency. I do not expect that in controllers any time soon.

The Rane One is basically an NS7 mk4, but as far as a motorised standalone unit goes, you're right, nobody's done one yet.
Is having a problem to.connect a laptop on the mixer I don't get no sound on my staggs speaker even bought a RCA cable

hello, my question is why the search engine only works in the playlist, why can't I search in the folders, if I'm in the folders and press search, it jumps to the playlist and I can only search among the tracks there.Thanks

When you have 2 x usb plugged in, does the library show all of them or just one USB?
from a ddj 400 to an flx6 or numark pro go? very tempted for the all in one but then the bigger controller is attractive too.
Not FLX6 - the meaningful upgrade controller wise would be FLX10.

ABSOLUTELY great tutorial just got my Mixstream and I'm in love...lol. But one thing I don't see and you didn't mention is SAMPLES?? Now as great as the gear is I would have thought standard samples would've been added, any Info or work around about this would be appreciated. 👍🔥🔥🔥

No, there are no samples in Engine DJ. You could make your own sample sets (home-made tracks with sets of up to eight "samples" on them), which you could then assign to cue points - when you want to use samples, you load your "sample set" and use the cue points to trigger them.

Thanks for this vid, very helpful. This machine is great! Inmusic looking to take over the standalone game. I also have an akai force and MPC live 2 and firmware updates have been awesome so far, hope they do they same for engine os.

Very good video, im doubting with numark pro go and SC live 2, i wanna a full portable stuff, and add a external battery to the SC live 2, but im wondering if Its worth the price diference between numark go and SC live 2, because only a lot of more fx, little bit better sound at own speakers, and little bit better material quality construction between this two? And pro go IS full portable but maybe IS a toy.
Because Both are plastic right?
So im in this doubt, i Will apreciate a full comparision, because numark is the lowest line of inmusic but this sc live 2 i dont know if IS worth It at all.

my deck 2 track keeps on playing at a loop and im not sure how to turn off. can someone explain in a nutshell? is it in user settings?
I like this unit but the right speaker started distorting on me randomly like it's blown out. I've barely pushed the speakers on it.
I'd talk to them about getting it repairs, sounds like a hardware fault

Time to make a Mk2. With 2 additional models and Engine 4.0, not much is like it was 2 years ago. At least all the new features is enough for a part 2 video manual.

How can I let it add tags to all my tracks for key signature, bpm and energy level and such. I am using SD Card standalone and play files from Folder. I don’t know how to create playlist on playlist section on DJ. If you can please let me know. Thank you.

I read somewhere that you canNOT carry the Pro GO onto a plane, either due to it's size dimensions, or due to the lithium battery. Can anyone confirm this? NO way I wanna check this plastic unit in! Thanks in advance for any insights.

I just bought a Mixstream pro + for gigs because my Prime 4 is way too heavy to transport. There is an option for deck colours, but they don't work. Looking at yours, I'm guessing that's standard on these decks.
you can change it but it makes no difference on these units

Nom as it is a standard Serato controller, so not really any different to any other (we do have a Serato course, Serato Made Easy).
In my settings I don’t see the “ lighting” option in services

mine doesn't have a bpm spot where I can choose to arrange my playlist by bpm.
You can't always organise by BPM, from memory I believe it isn't possible with streaming playlists, for instance.
