I've never been comfortable using a pick. It just feels more natural to me to finger pick. I am more of a drummer than guitar player, but it's nice to be able to show someone ideas I have.
Always thought being a good guitar finger pick player you’re covered for all guitar styles ,although if a good strummer is not bad either but there’s a wide range of more possibilities,I think
I like your lessons. The only issue I have with all guitar teachers is when they say that something is EASY, or VERY EASY, or SIMPLE. If you are learning something new and finding it difficult it can be very demoralizing when the teacher says that it's easy. And sometimes so discouraging that you put your guitar away. Maybe just give up. I tried learning to play guitar many times during my 72 years, with many different teachers until in my 50's when I finally found a teacher that could teach. I'm still not great but can play some stuff pretty good, and I enjoy it now. I'm not saying that you're one of these teachers, I'm just telling my guitar journey. I think you're doing a good job.
To me it sounds more like you have a self-esteem problem. You need to look at the lesson, and not how they call things easy or simple. Just learn what the ideas are. 90% of this is motor skills anyway. Play it 100x and you'll have it. Simple as that.
I wasted 30 seconds of my life on the beginning of this video. All I got was footage of a guy playing: nothing indicating that the subject matter of the title would be covered.
You're another internet guy complaining just for the sake of complaining. You sound like an old woman. Like a granny babbling on about the corner store cashier and how he didn't pay her a penny in change he owed to her. Whaaaaaa!!!
I've always thought that people who "only" strum on acoustic were "lesser" skilled players. But, I never understood how to progress into these next two levels. This is a GREAT video to start knowing how to get up past strumming and doing the next two grades of playing acoustic.

Acoustic guitars sound best when you ring them out and crank the bottom.
All I hear here is plink plink plink
Different strokes for different folks…
I have no idea what you are talking about. You're just complaining to complain is all it sounds like to me. You sound like my ex-wife.
Ok, I'll stop. Sorry brother..
Lol!

Are you bitter or something? I would also say it was related to subject matter. He was playing well without strumming. Durr
