Just hit 7k today 👍👍 Thank you guys for your continued support! Remember to let me know what you want me to review next.
how about a v6 f-type
Cars, Costs and Technology review a jeep!
+raypay123 Thanks for the suggestion 👍
+Throttle Time That would be pretty awesome 👍
dont forget about us when u get famous
No offense to the C7 Stingray, give me the Shelby GT350
I just love that bad sound coming out of that exhaust . Jeeeeeeeez , i need 50 K
Fulfilled Rouge same here. I smooth talked a dealership into letting me take a brand new C7 Z51 out for a test drive. Definatly a fun car but Mustangs just have their own unique attitude nothing's been able to compete with. And I've drivin a farrari 200mph down a Naval runway.
Youngbl33zy Basement dwelling virgin present! You recycler of RUclips jokes.
Fulfilled Rouge the only edge a Mustang can get on a Corvette is a lower ticket price. At same or above price, Corvette wins. In all compartments in my opinion.
FreedomForce100, spoke like someone who’s never actually taken the time to go drive a 16-17 Shelby GT350
'Stangs still look great, makes me miss my '66 GT......which I purchased for only $650 in 1974! It had 34k miles on it, and I added another 130k before selling it in 1979. Ahh, the memories.
2 more Great American Cars!!! i'm not brand loyal just country
+Marc D Same here man 👍 Thanks for the feedback!
wish more people were like that 👌
Marc D that's what I like
Murcia
Marc D MURICA!!!!!! Fuck German cars!!!!
Thank you for non-biased review.
Sign of a true car enthusiast...as long as it has wheels and an engine, it's good to go!
Car is beautiful, the shifts not so much
Thats a beast ass color for the Gt350 Damn
Jeff Cook I've seen 2 in person the gt350R and the gt350 they are so beautiful.
Anthony Jones not really rare just go to a Mustang car meet and you will see a lot
Anthony Jones you most likely can see a gt350 sitting in a Ford dealership
Yep Ford has that blue color down!
Can someone help, What color is that?
I've had my R for one year and it's been a blast to own. There have been no repairs outside of an oil change. My friend installed a supercharger and it's insane 800 hp to the wheels, and it's held up quite nicely.
I’m giving you props period, you and corvettes918 make exceptional videos and don’t pay for subscribers. This video is down right dirty... I love it
+BaileyPaws Thank you 👍 I really appreciate your continued support. Glad you enjoyed the video!
Shit give me either one. Fuck all the brand hate. Both cars are sick. I'm a ford guy who knows that chevy knows their shit when it comes to performance. Both cars look, sound, and perform great.
Greg Rohleder about damn time I found a guy like u, I'm a Chevy guy but whenever I usually see a Mustang I always give em respect
Vyon Gaming i watched a Doug demuro review on the zl1, my god chevy is really building masterpieces on a budget.
Both look and sound awesome fuckin beautiful
Regarding fueling: You gotta pay to play. If anyone cringes at that, don’t buy. Lol.
Atticaz hell, I've got my v6 mustang tuned to run on premium. Performance costs more at the pump same as it does at the dealer.
One day I'll have a shelby. :)
Douglas Forsyth. I have a V6 too, that I’m gonna Procharge. Yeah that GT350 is sex on wheels for sure. Some day.
My g37 coupe is more expensive to fill up than the gt350. The 350 has a small tank
Holy shit, my heart is breaking for this transmission.
I’m a Camaro owner and I must give this Mustang props, so gorgeous both in looks and sound, especially that Grabber blue... that’s like the cherry on top
I have a Z51 Corvette, a Porsche and a Focus ST and I think both of the machines featured in this video are special, although the GT350 is maybe a bit more. Unlike a lot of people that have a love or bias toward a brand, I am not a Ford, GM or Chrysler guy but instead totally a car guy. I can appreciate a BMW M2 as much as a Mustang or Camaro. I am a real car enthusiast and these are exciting times for me.
MrTecolote007 well said more people need to be like you
Want a cookie?
Kudos for the Focus ST. Great do-everything car.
I have a GT350, and, yes, I paid the $5K markup. That said, it was between this and the GT-R; I chose this because it's still a drivers' car. I like Corvettes; I like Porches; I love sports cars. This car is special, albeit there are many Corvettes on the road. I've seen maybe three other GT350's out there where I live; if I go to Seattle, it's Corvettes all day. It's all about appeal and having a true track car for me; your opinion's largely irrelevant as most on this YT page can't afford either.
I love the look of vette's but I see them everywhere. They are generic, and that's sad. Maybe because it emulates a super-car look and it attracts people that have the money and want something that looks expensive, I don't know. But that cobra, I've never see a cobra in person. They are rare and they are beasts under the hood. A Shelby is my dream car. I'm gonna own a cobra one day.
Amatthew123 its not a cobra. Never was.
You see more corvettes than Mustangs? Do you live in Bowling Green, Kentucky? Yes, the GT350 is special, but it doesn't look that different from every other Mustang out there, and they're as common as Hondas.
That GT350 exhaust note is something special. Have mercy...
Kevin bond just change the headers and watch the sound be like Ferraris wait don't that's the point of the gt350
@@jdrok5026the voodoo engine was built using the design of the 458 Italia. You are completely correct
Either one could sit in my garage....respect for both
Plz learn how 2 drive stick better
Yes, terrible. Why are u coasting in neutral?
I've owned a mustang gt and driven in a corvette, both cars handle different and am a ford fan love the mustang for what it is . when someone compares they are not satisfied with what they have so love it or hate it we will always have our own special interest !!!!!!!
When you are driving along who really notices a Mustang... its still just a Ford... but a Corvette … that is a whole different league.
Still just a Chevy
Haven't watched the vid yet cuz I'm at work but I'm guessing he's going to love the gt350
+Stephen C. It's an awesome car for sure 👍 I hope you've had a chance to watch the video since this comment.
People buying this car aren’t buying them being scared of the insurance bump or sticker price. Sorry... when I think Corvette, I think single-old-white-guy-cruising-the-strip. Not necessarily the image I’d want to convey. I’ll take any Mustang over a Vette.
31 - for - 2 stfu. You'd take either one in a heartbeat.
Well if you do nothing but hit the rev limiter and just shift it hard I wouldn't trust you in anything above a Honda civic sorry people like taking care of cars they think look good
jdr ok 👌 my 425hp ‘92 5.0 Fox is waaaay more fun to drive than any Honda Civic.
31 - for - 2 mustangs are for women.
Anmol S automatic v6 convertible mustangs are for women...I don’t see many women driving a Manuel v8 lol
It's actually hilarious how you drive it. I was cracking up the whole time LOL.
That Voodoo 5.2 would sound a lot like a Ferrari V8 if it weren't for the unique exhaust header lengths and tuning. But personally I'm more a fan of the crossplane sounds, especially the 2004 Terminator V8. Nothing ever sounded better. Glad to hear Ford is going with a crossplane 5.2 supercharged for the new GT500. Not sure if it's a shared architecture or a reconfigured block, but it's promising over 700 hp.
I owned a white mustang 2008 before my cts v coupe. Stock it left a lot to be desired, but with mods it was a fun daily driver. That said, bro, after getting the chance to drive a corvette a few months ago, I can see why this wouldn't be the same.
looks so much better than any vette besides maybe the z06. No way I'd buy a c7 over this unless it was a z06.
never been a big fan of corvettes and sadly most people arent. that mustang is pure american muscle and it's amazing that ford came up with such a powerful naturally aspirated v8
I appreciate the fact that you are well-spoken. It makes a review like this so much easier to listen to and understand. The GT-350 is a special car, no doubt, so thanks for the review. Suggestions for future reviews that I would like to see would be the Audi RS3 / TT-RS and the new Kia Stinger.
+Matthew515 Thanks Matthew 👍 I really appreciate the feedback and suggestions.
The reason I have never owned a vet and will never own 350gt is the ridiculous dealer marker up and not being able to test drive. Funny the Porsche folks did not mark my two 911s up and they let me test drive any 911 on the lot. True Story!! Good video.
The gas guzzler tax is outrageous. I looked at the Challenger Scat Pack and buying the manual cost over $1,000 MORE than the automatic due to this tax.
Great review!! They are going to be even more limited in the 2018 build, Ford reducing their build numbers. That gas guzzler tax is such bogus charge. My Z06 had 3k guzzler tax because it was a Auto. Love those seats and the sound is just amazing in sport mode. Keep up the great work. 👍🏻
+Corvettes 918 Thanks man 👍 They're probably winding down to make room for the GT500 😁 Pretty awesome car though. $3k for gas guzzler tax is insane! I've known that this charge existed for a while but I had no idea it was this much until I started including gas figures in my reviews.
+Beyond_3.7 It's pretty ridiculous. At least it doesn't seem like it's had that much of an impact on awesome cars being produced. We're still seeing insane horsepower figures and happily paying the penalty for them lol.
I laugh about the gas guzzler tax because my auto Z06 averages over 20 mpg while flogging it.
What jurisdiction was that "gas guzzler tax" in?
Both cars are great. I would take GT350 my self. Sounds better and bigger inside
I do love the Shelby GT350. I drooled over a yellow at the local dealer when my nephew was buying an 86’ 5.0 w/30k miles on it.
I’m a fan of both 👍🏻. Just happy that manufacturers are still building normally aspirated V 8s in 2017 and not some blown 6. For the money, I think I would go for the GT350. What a motor and heck it has 4 seats.
Lancair W if you want to call that a back seat, sure. Not much more than a car seat would fit back there. I'd still get it though, if I could for in it. At 6'4" I had to get a raptor.
dcouwlier I have an 8 and 10 year old, so it would work 👍🏻.
Yup for now, few more years though. Lol
dcouwlier I know. I think these type of cars are 2-3 years get it out of your system and then go back to a suv 😆
Lancair W or wait until the kids are older
Get someone who can properly drive a manual.
lmao right
Fendernirvana seriously !
Glad somebody said it 🤣🤣 this guy can't drive a manual to save his life
I am the owner of a gt350 track pack, and it's my daily driver. One thing ford marked wrong is the MPG. My average is really more like 20.1mpg ove all. between Hwy and city. I drive more Hwy and less city yes, but unless your racing it's not hard to go over the Ford specs for mpg. Great car, it's fun. And beautiful Corvette btw, I am a big Corvette fan.
Good review, no BS...had Corvette's 81, 88. Now a 11GT.
I will be getting this in gabber blue. Has to be convertible thought. And will be a hard top for it in winter.
I've always been a Chevy guy, but this new Mustang is absolutely one of the best looking and performing cars out there. This coming from a guy that owned a 1969 Z/28 in 1971 to 1979. The only other car I liked back then were Boss 302's.
Steve OreneO the new gt350r is going to have a hard time being more then a collector car because well it is
something huge that's fun is missing at any price:
a clutch pedal and the seven-speed manual transmission that goes along with it.
Manual transmissions are cooler. Plain and simple.
mrpmj00 and slower.
I fell in love with my 09 z06 with redline at 7k rpm for a 7.0L monster. Now looking at this gt350 with a hard-on...
Great job on the 7k. Only been here about 2 months and you had 3k then. Great work you do can't wait to see 50k.
+ahnc 420 Thanks man!
Competition is what keeps the industry alive and grow to what it is today. This horsepower war is getting real. We need brandism
Drag race a GT350? not really what this car is intended for. Go get a GT500 if you want to do that.
I love mustang my dream car...
Frfr there are 2 things, I can't even argue as a Chevy person myself, Ford got right the F-150 and the Mustang and this GT-350 is a1. And I love it because even though it's a flatplane crank it's like the American twist to the flat plane. Best sound on earth.
Just a note that you can get a new 2017 GT350 @ MSRP or below in the Midwest (so the comments re: $5K or so over MSRP may be regional). Check Autotrader listings to support. Also, I'd been shopping local dealers in central IL in past 60 days & was comfortable I could have closed a deal for $1K < MSRP. There are also a number of used 17s available with < 2K miles that are like new condition from buyers that could not handle the hp that can be had between $52K-$54k. I just looked at one with 1.8K miles that was listed @ $55K but dealer was willing to accept $52.5K. I elected to pass as clutch feel was way too light for me & the Recaro's were uncomfortable, however everything else was pretty much amazing. Decided to purchase a 13 Grabber Blue Boss 302 with lows miles as IMO the S197 body looks better (more old school muscle), clutch feels just about right, sounds just as good (with baffle plates gone), handles great (even w/o IRS), feels more badass & much lower in price. I love the 17 Corvette GS but it's just not as fun to drive as a 17 GT350, when you get done test driving a GT350 you are like whoa vs. a Corvette GS which does not produce the same feeling. Also the cockpit in the 17 Corvette GS is too claustrophobic & tight for me (as I'm 6'3'') & only 2 seats so not as much room or practical as a GT350, which is a more useful daily driver. Can't wait to see the mid-engine vette but until then, it's all GT350 IMO & not close. This guy produces good videos that are informative & contain quality info to know (w/o any sales pitches of any significance).
You can find these at MSRP now, well the non R...used they can be had in the low 50k range.
Javon Kirkland actually under 50k now. Over 30 of them listed under $50k on autotrader right now.
Great effort by FORD...Im a Mopar guy but mustangs and especially this one is a stellar bit of engineering...
I work at the plant and I wanted to add on 95 percent of the GT350s there is a toggle switch right next the hazards and traction control that changes exhaust to sport mode. I think you are reviewing the super base model.
MSRP is common now for the GT350. Some dealers are willing to go below, you just have to do some research. The R model is still demanding a hefty markup.
+Generation Asian That's interesting. It must be based on your location and how many allocations your local dealers have. All of the dealerships in my area (very few have a GT350) are marking them up by $5k or more.
www.vicbaileyford.com/new/Ford/2017-Ford-Shelby+GT350-Spartanburg-SC-37cf76b10a0e0ae7513b8f859796c2b7.htm?searchDepth=1:1
Cars, Costs and Technology SoCal area, most of the larger dealerships are still asking 5K over. However, there are quite a few dealerships in the west coast region who offer MSRP. I actually got mine 1K under MSRP with extensive research and my stubbornness for not paying over sticker. As the 18s are rolling in, the 17s are negotiable at this point and I’m assuming the price will continue to drop.
+Generation Asian Good to know 👍 Thanks for sharing.
I have a GT350....rear spoiler (sniff). Looks great! Unfortunately where I live Ford prices the GT350 way too high and is TWICE the cost of a GT. $40k vs $80k. At that point it's not really worth it.
Thought of you today. Had a sharp white C7 pull up next to me. I prefer Cona Blue over Grabber Blue on a Mustang but it's still a great look on a Mustang.
T Sav Yes, Kona Blue looks great!
Most should be at MSRP now, as 2017 had something like 10K made in its extended production year. Its also still being made for 2018, so expect atleast another 5000 minimum. So we are looking at 20K+ for 2016-2018.
Man, that GT350 needs a set of Steeda performance lowering springs ASAP.
I'm so glad these cars are finally been sold in the UK. Why did it it take so long in the first place. All we got where the Ford KA and Ford Puma.
A thing of beauty. Mustang, number 1 selling sports car in the world.
Ford Mustang at one point was considered a "poor man's Ferrari" or just a "poor man's sports car", it appears with these price tags and the cost of premium fuel that is no longer the case.
Five Star Ford in North Richland Hills, TX marked their GT350 up from $60K to over $70K.
I had the C7, it was not bad, but it was not anything to write home about.
A. You can buy a Camaro for 10grand less making the same power, with upgraded electronics and more interior features
B. The direct injection engine suffers from too much oil and carbon build up on intake and valves
I ended up selling mine and just in time. Now my dealer has more than 50 sitting on the lot not moving with huge discounts.
I couple of things: If this is a brand new GT350 I'm not only surprised they let you test drive it, but the fact that there's one available. I thought they were next to impossible to find. The sticker price shows it's a GT350 with an R with a circle around it (I don't know how to type that). For a moment there I was trying to figure out if this car was an 350R or 350, but I knew better from the title and badging. Still, it seems a bit confusing, however, I realize a discerning car buyer should be fully aware of what he's looking at in the first place.
Edited to add: Subscribed and thumbs up. Well done!! Good luck with your channel!!
love the grabber blue without the stripes. Absolutely beautiful car
Wow I have never seen a channel bring up insurance when talking about buying a car even though it really is important information to discuss! Absolutely great video I will definitely be subscribing!
All cars need to come in that color.
Loved my 2020 GT500 but I didn't care for the GT350 driving characteristics, both had magnaride.
No doubt in my mind, the GT350 is a far superior car, that's where my money would go if I had the ability.
LVMYKDZ compared to What? The suspension is about the same besides a few differences mainly gms world class leaf spring and the gt350 has one really cool thing a flat plane crank 5.2 but it's not exactly good for that style of crank to be so big as it can easily if the rubber damper fails destroy itself good mod would be a fluid damper
And on many accounts the 5.2l doesn't respond as quickly as the lt4
jdr ok LT1 right? The LT1 still
makes more power and only revs till 6.5k
Evan at 51 yoa, I found the GT350 more expensive to insure than even the Z06 Vette. My insurance guy couldn't really explain why. He theororized that as it was within reach of more people dollar wise, it was probably more prone to being wrecked.
Lmao that makes no sense, the less people that can afford it the less people insuring it vise versa, who is your insurance company?
The Vette has been about the only Chevy I've liked since I was a kid(some exceptions). I really fell in love with the C5 Z06, it was a world beater. The GT350 though is something different. It's like super car motor, meets pony car looks, meets sports car handling. Who would have thought a Mustang would have irs let alone be the only domestic flat-plane crank v-8 and making over 100hp/liter NA. Luckily for me I don't pay sticker on any Ford ever. Working for them and having family in the dealer finance helps. BTW, worst car ever for drag racing, it's like taking a demon to an auto-x. Great review though, very fair across the board.
What I love about that mustang is that 8200rpm redline, how on earth this engine could be exist
That is an awesome color and the powerband is absolutely nuts on these cars!! Loved the intro and great review.
+dannySRT6.4 Thanks man 👍
I hate how similar the gt350r looks like the average mustang. Besides a slightly different front bumper anf performance upgrades, its the exact same car(more or less). I really hope they went full out on a new interior/exterior for the gt500 or I'm going to be disappointed
It's a track car.. Completely different type of vehicle... The gt350 will destroy a typical 5.0 mustang around a track.
they look nothing alike in person.. its SOOOOO much wider and more beautiful ... i actually questioned my existence when i saw it
The GT350 is special and the corvette...well, it isn’t. Great review though and I will say the Vette sounds a lot meaner in comparison!
Cababah just louder.. put an atak kit on that shelby and will destroy that ls
I'm not saying the Vette is special but why do you think the GT350 is more special than the Vette? Details. Or is it just your personal opinion?
Cababah I thought the snake sounded better. To each is own I guess
What makes it special is the Badges LOL
Its still a mustang
Two best colors
Avalanche grey and grabber blue
The END
great Review! keep up the awesome work and production
+Staggered Horizons Thank you! I really appreciate the feedback 👍
anytime! subbed
Great video. Love the Grabber Blue, but I ordered black for my new 2019 Mustang.GT Convertible. There is a similar color for 2019 called Velocity Blue.
That color is godly! I want one so bad.
Either getting this or the new gt500
For my channel next. Great blue color 👍🏻
I like how you're just putting people's lives at risk. So much fun.
😂😂😂
Insuring a GT350 was only about $100 difference every 6 months compared to my 1999 Subaru Legacy GT, which I have a lots of modifications but KBB value is only about $3k.
Small world. I live in Greenville as well. I bought my SHO and my girl bought her Fiesta from Fairway.
I understand the title of this video, but the standard GT would have been better (i think) for the sound comparison of cross and flat. Being as the Vette is OHV and not the same OHC type. Those make unique sounds as well.
Flat sounds like ass.
I do agree that you need to learn how to properly rev match but cheers on the great review mate! You'll reach a great number really soon!
I drove this car before I purchased my Z06. I know some will say it's a totally different price point. That is true. But I also drove the grand sport.
My take was that the GT-350 is a cool car. A great track car, but around town, or on the highway just not that fun. You need to get the rpm up to get any torque. The GS is more fun to drive. If you have the budget, the Z06 is in another class above the GS.
That said, if you are just a "mustang guy" this is the coolest mustang. I would buy it over the standard GT for sure. I like the car. I just liked the Vet better. My biased opinion 😎.
i'd take the corvette too. especially as the mustang shelby doesn't have any back seats.
Craig Chandler 5 or 10 or 20 years later you won’t wish you bought a standard GT, because you will still pay $40k, then it will be worth a standard $5,000-$10,000. The Shelby will be $60k purchase, but will still be worth $35-$40k later.. much better investment.
I own a Viper and would take the GT350 over a regular C7 Stingray.
Kinda surprised the Stang doesn't have a remote starter. I drove V6 last summer and it had it. I assumed remote starter was standard on Stangs.
Can't go wrong with either of these cars but as a Mustang fan and owner of multiple Mustangs I would certainly take the 350 over the Stingray.
CyberSpeeds Sim Racing and More hey youd have a decent soundtrack everyday lol the vette I might need a straight pipe for how quiet it is
I like Mustangs and had one that I enjoyed. But as you can see from this comparison, Mustangs are for the guy that just has to have a Mustang or needs the back seat. For that much money the C7 is a better choice.
I think halo cars will always be marked up. Supply and demand. As for Corvettes I'm surprised to hear most are automatics. In my opinion, automatics are for sedans and SUV's. On sports and muscle cars, it's gotta be manual. Automatic takes the fun out of it.
I literally just went to look at that car 2 days ago in Greenville
Nice 👍
That blue reminds me of like a Porsche or bmw :O beautiful car
Goos review man! Im from Greenville i dont know how i havent stumbled across your channel before!
Selinsgrove PA Ford dealer has a preowned white GT350 on the lot that's been there for months if anyone wants to try and make a deal.
The Vette feels and looks far superior in person. I get comments anywhere I go. I even had a group of Mustangs ask me to take pictures. The materials and feeling you get when you get into it just feels more like a sports / race car. The Shelby is a fantastic car and it's more roomy and it has rear seats. It would be a better daily and it holds it's value better. But for me, I don't regret buying the Vette. Although I like all of them. Challenger Hellcat, GT350, and C7.
Guaranteed no one wanted to take pictures. C7 Corvettes are on every street corner.. They are a dime a dozen.. Not a chance in he'll GT350 owners are taking pictures....dream on.
@@poopscooper5038 This was four years ago. I've been invited to Malibu Meets and meets in Santa Barbara. I don't know what kind of toxic meets you go to, but the meets I go to are friendly. A combination of hyper cars, exotic sports cars, sports cars, muscle cars, custom cars, etc... Nobody really hates on other people's cars. It is one of the wealthiest cities in the country. Most of the people there can afford just about any car they want. They still don't talk down to other people.
@Victor Andrade Nobody is talking down to anyone. Someone disagrees with you and you can't handle it. Toxic? You must be one of those hypocritical Liberals from California. Take care
@@poopscooper5038 Well, pooper. This was 4 years ago. You know, when there wasn't as many C7s out and it was still in production. The GS had just come out. So, yes. It was a different time. Common sense would tell that a lot of C7s didn't exist yet.
@Victor Andrade Common sense I didn't see the post date. It's common sense too that 4 years later the C7 is still nothing special...sorry you been triggered and good luck
The cars exhaust almost sounds like the 90's zr-1 corvettes. But it does sound good.
I am probably in the minority, but I loved the C6 over the new c7 design(not a fan). I also loved the c5 Z06... I would take the 350 over all 3, just something about those cars that screams "collector" car. Plus I have grown on Ford products since the rebirth of the 5.0. Maybe if I were rich I'd own them all :D
Why can’t everyone just agree they are great cars? I’m a ford guy but I have just as much respect for the corvette as the gt350.
Jace Jackson because people hate one brand or the other I personally deal with Chevy and fords and can tell you Chevy makes a great v8 but God damn it they need to offer performance parts for their v6s and i4s and their old i6s Ford just I think most of their issues are now just reliability within their engine platforms needs to be monitored more closely tired of seeing Ford engines with holes in the block
jdr ok list some ford engines you see with holes in the blocks. I have yet to see a coyote punch a hole in the block in stock form. I have yet to see a stock ecoboost punch a hole in the block. The ecoboost that have blown up you can thank SSI tuning for that.
Goddamn that 60 frames per second is so crisp!
If you own a house, and have multiple cars, you can actually have your GT350 cost less per year than your daily driver.
That color is gorgeous
Crazy looking at the tach and seeing redline waaaayyyyyy down at the bottom.
