As a seasoned crafter, this was fun to watch & remember when I didn’t have all the tools. It took forever to get this done but back in the day it was so fulfilling to see the finished product!🙂
Hi Maymay I am watching this in 2023, as a beginner cardmaker, my first tools were scoreboard bone folder, I bought an electric a4 Couture Creations die cutting machine as I have a tremor & love to die cut. So I also have the normal colouring incl beginner alcohol markers…my advice to anyone starting out is sit down with a Craft shopping list, look at what is affordable to you not what your friend who has been cardmaking for a lot longer….don’t forget what birthdays, Easter & Christmas are for….craft supplies for your loved ones to buy you…like a die cutting machine or the tools you want ❤️❤️
MayMay, I really appreciate your detailed videos on all the crafts you create😊You make it easy to create Them! Thank you for sharing all your tips and talents.☺️
Here I was browsing through your channel and found the vid about making a bag, but i had no fancy tools (been wanting to make one) so i decided to put the thought away of making it and this pops up! And my desire to make one is sparked again! Thank you MayMay. I'm gonna try make one tfs
I made this immediately after seeing the first video - redone 2.0. I didn't have some of the tools that you had and did what you did today on this video. The biggest exception is that it took me way longer to come up with the substitution b/c of my lack of knowledge in paper crafting; I'm a newbie. My husband was so impressed! My biggest challenge was in choosing the coordinating paper for the handles because when I bought my paper collections, I did not choose correctly. I've learned a lot by watching you and also going back to your old videos. Since wallets and pocketbooks are "my things", this craft is right up my alley to make. Now to find a scripture that can go with the little blessings that will fill this bag as a ministry gift to others is my challenge now. Thanks again! Gale Flowers
Bravo for taking the time to do this... I do have most of the tools, but it was great to see how you can actually do it without all the tools. Great job.
I just have to say...I am SO glad I have the tools. I watched you make this and was amazed that it could be done but painstakingly slow...LOL....we crafters are truly spoiled! TFS Hugs
I am so glad you made this with no fancy tools, (by the way, I don't know what it's called, nut the cutter with the breakaway blade is not a fancy tool,😁)... I absolutely love it...it is absolutely gorgeous...
Thank you so much for doing this!!! I am new to this and wanted to do this and didn't have any of the other tools. I am so excited to do this now!!! Please continue to do videos like this!! Loved it.
Thank you for another great video. I appreciate you showing how to make the purse without dies. They would be great for Mothers Day with a pad & pen tucked inside.
Love this bag! You are such a sweetheart for showing people who do not have tools how to make such a beautiful piece of art! You are truly wonderful Maymay! Thank you for all you do!
This is my first time seeing this and I have to tell you, it is beyond amazing and so are you. your the very best Maymay. Thank you so much for all of your time and patience. Huge Hugs.
I love these. I use a circle cutting system that I have had forever. Use what you have is one of my favorite sayings. Tools are great, I have so many but if you want to craft there is always a way to get it done with what you have. Thank you Maymay for the amazing inspiration. :)
Awesome! I love that you have been showing me how to figure out how to make something I see without the dies etc that were used. Halving a ball and feel so accomplished. Thanks Maymay. Hugs and blessings.
Love that paper, it's so pretty. Your so wonderful to figure out all the measuring for templates for us. I have all the templates for the Impossible Card and now this. Makes it easier on us. I am NOT good with numbers or math. Love to watch you create, and even better your a believer in Chist our Lord. Thank you for sharing your talent with us. Love to all at Maymay Made It, and God Bless you all.
You are so smart and inspiring!! This was really fun to watch so I guess You’ve left me no choice but to make one now. 🤷🏻♀️😁🤗 Thanks so much, May May!! You’re awesome!!
Miss Maymay you make my heart happy in so many ways and on so many days. You are so kind to take your time and energy to fil these type of videoes. For me back in the day when I taught classes this way ( no fancy tools ha they didn't even exist yet ) there was such a sense of satisfaction when you were finished creating your project. Thank you for always thinking about and including everyone when creating projects you are the best! God bless you girl love you ♡
Beautiful paper! Very nice of you to make a PDF for people that do not have the circle dies! Amazing no tools project! I love my tools😀 They are so much fun
Gorgeous paper, really shows you how spoilt we are for all the great tools out there, definitely going to make this, love from Western Australia xxxxxx
A great score tool is butter knife. A serrated one cuts ever so slightly and makes the sharpest score. But a non serrated one will also work very well. Also edge of closed scissors. For circles you can make a DIY compass with two pencils and a string.
Such a beautiful purse made with gorgeous paper - just love everything you show us - In January 2017 you referred to a masculine version but I can't find it - have you one to share with us?
For scoring a little crisper, you can use the back side of a butter knife or a nail file, or a pen that you’re sure is empty with the point clicked out. I have also used the end of my scissors a time or two to score before I had tools Just being careful not to press too hard with any of these methods. I’m a tool junky so I can do the things faster and easier now, but like you said, you can do it with nearly nothing.
Thank you for doing this video. It's great that those who don't have fancy tools can still make this beautiful purse. I don't have the dies but I do have a Cricut, so I will create a file in Design Space.
Hi Maymay, love your videos. One question, I have so much issues with die cut with a view papers when I try to use then for making boxes. What is you trick or are these papers better quality than their other papers?
Awesomeness! Thank you for this great tutorial! I will post when I make it! Have an awesome rest of your day! Thank your for sharing! God bless! Love hugs and prayers! O:-)

Hi Maymay, Sometimes when I can't find my scoring tool I use a knitting needle with a smooth rounded tip.
Gorgeous paper, really shows you how spoilt we are for all the great tools out there, definitely going to make this, love from Western Australia xxxxxx
