I would not have recommended the Osofo Maame to have advised the couple to use the taxi money meant for business to finance part of the wedding which the man did not want in any case, why?. Even if she wanted them to marry, they could have done simple customary rites or even gone to court--it didn't have to be a Church wedding if they did not have the money!. It simply did not make good business sense to do so. Also, the fact that the couple's child [whom they had only met for the first time] wanted to stay with the Osofo Maame wasn't right. She should have discussed with the couple to find out why and counseled them and for the child to remain with her parents. Although it is good to be kind, you cannot force kindness on others even if you are a pastor or pastor's wife [so the reaction by the couple doesn't seem to be Okukuseku at all] given the out-of-bounds role the Osofo Maame played as evidenced in this situation.
