    I have a '95 MX-6 2,5l with a manual gearbox and have had it as my first car for 8 months now. I love it so much. A bit of a harsh ride in the winter but I installed a block heater and take good care of it. Only problem I've had is one of the coolant hoses had nearly come off but it was easy to spot and fix. This car definitely turned me into a car guy and I don't want to sell it for a long time to come. Planning on getting a better winter car though and keeping my MX-6 in a garage. Fantastic car with a wonderful GT feel. I honestly don't know what I could replace it with for a reasonable pricetag.

    Love my MX6 two more weeks June and she's back on the road for summer. It's getting close to 100 thousand K time to take her in for the last warranty check up.

    Mx6 is one of the most fun cars too drive, nobody really knows about them, I had one and I got compliments and questions about what it was all the time. The v6 sounds like a Porsche with exhaust on it, and you can rev it to 7000 all day and the engine loves it

      The MX-3 GS with the 1.8l V6 is much better.

      In fact Mazda V6 sounds better than Porsche Boxer 6.
      What a shame they did not do it in RWD layout.

      No way, it's displacement was too small. Cool in it's own right, but in no way was it "much better" than the 2.5 L V6, as you say@@applepoop10. Maybe you like it better for some reason (had one?) but that does not make it objectively better. That would make it subjectively better, to you. And yes, I have experience with both of them. Go back end edit your 4 year old comment ;) -jk.

    The MX-6 was fun to work with and one of the best cars during the 90's.. Getting rarer to see ones in good condition. The MX-6 LS can respectfully move when they are tuned up and I think the car is destined to become more collectible.

      Tuned up how

    • @pgtmr2713
      @pgtmr2713 Год назад

      @@CameronsCars 2.5" Exhaust with headers, KLZE swap (2.5l JDM only version of the v6,) MAF swap using a 98+ Millenia ECU. Shift just before 7k. Should be 50hp over stock still NA and still on Mazda parts, and should be under 6 seconds to 60/100. Or, turbo it, aftermarket ECU, dyno tune.

    The V-6 isn't quad-cam, it's twin (DOHC)

    • @pgtmr2713

      V6s have 2 banks with 2 cams on each head... 4 cams.

    • @SD-pi9co
      @SD-pi9co Год назад

      @@pgtmr2713 No, these engines were DOHC (Dual Overhead Cam), they had 2 cams for each bank of 3 cylinders and that's called a DOHC. I owned several and even the J-spec version of this engine. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mazda_K_engine

    • @pgtmr2713

      @@SD-pi9co It has 4 cams, that is quad cam, in reference to the engine. You're the one arbitrarily, pedanticly, making the limitation, then getting mad about it. It is DOHC, It also has quad cams, it is not however QOHC and no one said it was. I currently own 2 DEs a ZE, all 4 KL intakes, several sets of cams around here.
