Altona Bay Cruising

A beautiful day on Port Phillip Bay, first a sail in the Core Sound 17 over to visit the seal on T28, and then a sail in company with Mark in his Savage Dolphin. Two lovely open boats! Great to get some footage of the Core Sound in action - thankyou Mark

Thanks Mark! It was indeed a wonderful time on PP. Just about perfect conditions. Perhaps the boat is too comfortable, the crew get so relaxed the fall sleep. Or perhaps it is my conversation. Yes, look forward to our next sail! Thanks again.

I see Mark’s savage dolphin, is the other a core sound? I’ve seen the double wishbone rig on one.

Yes, that's my Core Sound 17. Wishbone rigs are nice alright, but the sprit-boom rig is simple and has many virtues.
