- Six years ago, Iva, mother of two, was diagnosed with breast cancer. Then over quarantine the Leroy family discovered that their 7-year-old daughter, Zoe, had developed cancer as well. Despite this family’s challenges they still live every day to the fullest. However, Zoe and her brother, Alex, share a bedroom which limits their independence and creativity. With George to the Rescue’s help this family will get the warm and inviting home that they deserve.

Any situation that involves cancer absolutely destroys me. I’ve lost people I love to cancer and it’s just great seeing something like this where we can help families that go through stuff like this.
George and team are the best hands down!! My husband and i are both retired due to health reasons . We own our house and living in PR its been rough to fix just 2 bathrooms we started and bought all materials but man power and finacially its been tough!! After Maria17 ‘ its one thing after the other. Then earthquake jan 20’ then quickly after covid that doesnt seem to be going away . Love your show God bless and keep changing lives . That felt good releasing the stress.

Brother should have had the bigger attic room and Zoe downstairs, since she didn't want to be upstairs anyway.
Given her Medical condition it's best she is closer to her parents room. The larger attic would have been perfect for the brother

That's what I was thinking too or even give the attic to the parents. You wouldn't get much medical equipment up those stairs either. I also feel bad the brother having to see how much more she got in the sense that her rooms bigger, she's got a double bed, she's got this cool reading nook etc. I feel it almost made him feel inferior.
@@3lli0 I agree. Did you see his face when he saw her room? It was very sad. The room they updated for him didn't change at all hardly.
@@aprilsmith6587 I did. He was trying so hard to be happy for her while he felt like he isn't important enough. All this is happening because my sister has cancer, she's got cancer and she's got a better room etc. And I'm just saying he probably feels inferior, not important enough. Y'know?

Alex and Zoe should switch bedrooms. Since Zoe has the added stress of cancer, she would be better off in the non-creepy bedroom.

Why would you put a 7 year old upstairs if she’s afraid? If her brother was open to it, move him up and leave her downstairs where she’s comfortable

Switch rooms between the two. Attic would have been just right for the brother. The smaller room could have been made nice & cosy for the little girl

You can put a third layer of new shingles over the first two, if everything is in good shape……….👍
