Visited Swinley today for the first time with my lad. Had always heard mixed reviews about it, but you know what we were pleasantly surprised! Nice one for the video, which gave us a great heads up of what to expect. Yes there’s quite a bit of pedalling in parts, but that’s a bonus for fitness, and definitely think there’s enough rewards for the effort! Red 9 (was 15) is one of the first highlights for me, so good took the fire road climb back up to it 3 times. And all those runs off near Red 10 are superb, Bikini, Deerstalker, Babymaker etc, tech, big table line & superb berms, could have ridden that part all day, so yes a big shout out to the trail builders there! Yes it’s not the Surrey Hills, or Wales, but it’s only an hour drive for us, Chicksands/Woburn are our locals, but will definitely be back to Swinley at some point. Thanks again for the video!
Nice one glad you enjoyed it. It deffo gets more bad rep than it deserves. People forget its a country park that happens to have some cycling trails in it. As far as Country Park Trails go it's pretty awesome. Seb and the trail crew have worked wonders over recent years especially around Red 10 area. It's like a mini bike park vibe with a relatively easy push-up and a perfect place to work on carrying speed through berms and of course the Bikini jump line. I'll be going back there again pretty soon to work on my jumps for sure. 👍 (Also worth checking out The Summit jumps and skills area near the start of the Blue trail. Members only area but they often do trial offers from £10)
@@SEKTAMTB I didn't get to try bikini carwash last time as it was shut! But looking forward to trying it next time I go, which will hopefully be soon 😁
Excellent tour of the red and blue sections and nicely edited video flashing up the trail numbers. Perfect for someone like me who is new to Swinley. Thanks
It's difficult to get excited about swinley there are a few goodish bits but generally it's quite dull, nothing that'll scare you that's for sure , I guess they've done the best they can, considering the lack of elevation
People forget it's not a trail centre but basically a country park that happens to have some cycle trails. As far as country parks go, it's pretty good. Have you ridden the mini downhill trails lately? Bikini Carwash, Babymaker, Berminator etc they are pretty cool and easy to session.
@SEKTAMTB Yes was there last Monday, as I say there are some good bits, and considering the lack of elevation they've done a good job , but I wouldn't be rushing back anytime soon, and the sand is a nightmare for your drive train 🤣🤣
Arrh cool you'll love it. The main visitors centre at Swinley Forest has a large car park RG12 7QW. It can get busy at weekends as they have a big play area and also a Go Ape there too so you get lots of families and dog walkers.

Yeah it's deffo had some improvements over the last few years. Bikini Carwash and Berminator etc are running so good now.
Swinley forest is great fun 😊
It sure is. I'm loving the work they've done on Bikini Carwash and Babymaker as well. 🤘

Cheers. Glad you liked it. I have got other Swinley edits on my channel showing some of the mini downhill trails and some lesser known areas too 😉

Did you not watch any RUclips videos before you went to save you the waste of time. Sounds like red bull rampage might be more your thing.😎
Great video. I am planning on going here with my boy. Where is the car park for this place
