Fawn Pugs shed because of their double coat, black ones don't have the same amount of undercoat. Clipping makes their beautiful "seal like" coat disappear. Took my Emma 4 years for her gorgeous coat to grow back in.
That is not true. I have a fawn purebred pug and a black purebred pug. My black has a thicker double coat shedding much more than my fawn. It is genes, not color
Washing every month or 2 is appropriate for most dogs UNLESS your dog is: required to bath frequently for various “jobs” (example: therapy dogs working at a childrens burn hospital), gets extremely dirty, has certain skin issues or allergies, as medical issues that require frequent (usually medicated) baths, or some other issue requiring more frequent washing. My current pug absolutely completely hates water and baths but got a fungal infection on her belly last year that required 2 weeks of daily medicated shampoo that had to sit for 15 minutes in the tub… it absolutely worked but her hair and skin were dull and dried out the whole time… Additional
Luna the Pug thats true but who ate we to judge its our job to take care of the dog its the breeders fault as pug owners we must accept these problems and strive
Hi! Just looking for any additional advice... i have a four year old male pug and his shedding has become so severe we find BUNCHES of his hair around the house...brushing proves unfruitful and there have been NO changes in diet...Ive also noticed a decrese in weight. How concerned should i be?
Pugs mean hair all over the house every day !!!!!!!!! there is no answer to it , you can try whatever you want it it makes no difference!!!!!!! the joy of owning a pug overrides the fact you are covered in hairs that stick like glue to your clothes ,your car and everything else your angel is near . Have never known a breed that sheds like them.. All visitors to my house go home with a fur blanket attached to them that they neither asked for or wanted!!!!!! lololol. having said that they are such an endearing breed who are on this earth to be adored and what's a few billion hairs between friends
I've had pugs for a long time. Shaving them is discouraged because it can damage the coat. Most places won't shave them until they are over a year. It isn't going to hurt them. I would never shave a pug in the fall/winter, but nothing wrong with doing it in the spring so they can get their summer coat in.
You can shave them. But if you have a fawn pug they have a double coat so you can damage their coat by shaving them. However, I see nothing wrong shaving them in the spring when they are shedding to get their spring coat. I would never do it in the fall/winter because it's cold where I am. I had a pug that loved being shaved in the spring.
In summer, I get my pug clipped. She really responds well to it. It gets insane hot here, and Ruby does not cope. So we get her clipped in summer and she loves it! She is 9, and after clipping we have a zoomies puppy! She is more tactile, more..... loving, happy, less heat affected. Her breathing improves. I think every dog should be judged by it's own merits, and do what's best for your dog. I don't care if it changed her coat colour, I don't care if her coat comes in rough for a couple of months after, all I care about is that my princess is as happy as I can help her be!
Plenty if true and tested and proven things to greatly reduce shedding. This is an actual joke of a video. Thousands of responsible folks educated themselves and we now have our pugs happy and healthy and hardly shed at all. All natural , proven ways. Sad that folks are such sheep or too lazy to educate themselves.
I will say one good thing about this video, it truly shows the adorable, passive, loveable nature of pugs. They are SO sweet! I love my puggie!
That pug is having a good time in the shower
Why show the poor thing getting shaved if you aren't supposed to shave them?
Ron Lackey that’s what I was thinking!!
Yeah!
She's prepping him for dinner
Why is it poor thing he’s not abusing it you idiot
I'm disappointed at that woman :/

You were using the furminator v hard its a blade! And the jetshower too at stinging rate
Your not supposed to bathe your pug often
Maybe Once a Month or Two Months , that is what I recommend

I wish I would’ve known before agreeing to my son wanting a pug. Hair is everywhere! I get anxious to put stuff full of hair in my washer.
I use the furminator you have. That thing rules and my boy loves getting brushed after a bath when he sheds the most
1:55 why is that person shaving the pug?
Exactly is is an idiot
She is not maybe she needs to do to that for something important
Pugs were my fav...I couldn't find a pug but got a pugzu...my new favorite dog!

Karm Films you’re such a dumb fuck
My mom wants to return our pug because she sheds too much what do I do ?
Return mom? Lol.
Larry B lol
Why make a video but have no audio?
how often should i bathe my pug? he gets stinky so fast no matter what house he is in (he transitions from my mom and dad's house)
You can use dry shampoo...
What if y pug hated dry dog food?
Where do u get the brush from?
My dog hates baths..
if you don't want hairs don't get a pug .... simple as that
Healthy food? Why are you feeding kibble then?
My pug goes crazy when I brush him
Some pugs like mine their muscles freeze up and tense up after a bath, contact your vet beforehand just in case
And let me say this my pig hates slicker brush 😭
Do not shave means?. Can we trim ?
NO

when all your videos get about 5k views, another person uses footage of your dog, and get triple. (((((rip)))))))
Lol
Cookie is the cutest thing ever...case closed
so good hygiene and diet
None of this works for my pug.
1:32 your welcome👍
Yes but you shouldn’t wash your dog very often
your pug is so cute ... I will also pet a pug only
I have a pug and he is 10 months old
I have had pugs as pets for most of my life. They do she'd like Buffaloes. It is not good to clip your pugs. It changes the texture of their fur.
So while you're telling us not to shave our pugs, you have a woman shaving a pug???
0.10 that pug is not sorry at all that he has shed so much
Who the fuck would shave a PUG?!?!
How to reduce pug shedding?
You don't.
