Interesting that you mention that you can use this in direct sunlight. I keep a bottle of Best of Show Quick Detailer around because it works great in the sun for my parents’ cars. I use Speed Shine for clay bar and touch ups. Of course, I have Ceramic Speed Shine for my car. 😆

I'm still learning detailing and am a little confused... If I strip washed my car, then clay barred it, then polished it, then used a ceramic spray like 3-in-1 or another brand... do I need to wash my car then use speed shine to help protect it, do I just use speed shine instead of washing if it just has dust on it, or do I need to clay bar using speed shine? And if I do have contaminates, and use speed shine to clay bar it, do I need to polish and protect again after clay barring, or do I just use speed shine with the clay bar and the car is good to go? Help!
Hey, thank you for the question! Here is our suggestion: If you followed the mentioned process (strip, clay, polish, protect) Speed Shine would be a great option to remove light dust, bird droppings, etc. between washes. Speed Shine does not provide protection, it simply lubricates mild above surface contaminants to safely remove them from the surface. You will not need to clay again until you are looking to remove contaminants which have embedded themselves into the clear coat (once to twice a year as a rule of thumb but this can vary depending on conditions the vehicle endures and how it's maintained.) If you do have contaminants that require claying, this will diminish your protection overtime but not completely remove it - so that depends on whether you've picked up swirls, etc. that you're looking to remove, and on the durability of the original protection you applied. You can use Ceramic Speed Shine in place of Speed Shine if you'd like to boost the protection on the surface and prolong the lifespan of your protectant.
Hello can I use both speed shine and ceramic speed shine or should I just stick to one . Say I want to use speed shine for quick detailer and then for protection use the ceramic one. And then to maintain use regular speed shine??

I’ve started using this as my exterior and home glass cleaner. Does require buffing but it’s totally clear and repels rain.
I’ve never washed my Factory Five Cobra in 18+ years! I only use Speed Shine. Paint looks perfect.

Love the products and polishers so far just wish when you called to place order the people were more knowledgeable about the products
Haven't used the original, just the ceramic version. Might have to give it a shot.
This was me until recently. Both are very good but I find regular Speed Shine more versatile and can be used in direct sunlight.
