Unlike all the polyglot in youtube who speaks Tagalog but it sounds like textbook tagalog. You're the closest to the native tongue. The Mannerisms, the occasional stops in every word the slang and even the sighs.

I'm feeling a bit guilty now. I've been living in the Philippines since 2010 and don't know more than a few word of Cebuano (I live in Cebu) and my wife is a Filipina. Filipinos are truly the nicest people I've ever met and if Miss Universe contest REALLY knew beauty the Philippines would win EVERY year.

Hahaha ha this gave me a good laugh. Their faces are so shocked. For the Filipinos here, I'm Half-Filipino and I joined a zoom call for my tito's funeral. One of the titos on the call who never met me or my brother said "Teka muna may dalawang puti dito. Are we on the right call link?" Then my mom said "Hindi. Anak ko." He was so embarrassed haha.

I know it's not specific to the PH, but it's weird how many cultures view that wearing braces is a sign of wealth and status, and will often wear them longer than they need to. Meanwhile covering their mouths every time they smile or laugh.
I tried to literally rip the braces out of my mouth as soon as I could as a teenager.
