Look wonderful! I’ve been all about the yarn stash podcasts of late. I will be redoing my yarn room soon due to some construction issues. I need more than two shelf units though :-)

    It looks much better.
Before it was really very chaotic.
Are you not afraid of moths?
Because all your yarn is lying around so openly.

Thanks- it feels so much better!
I haven’t had a problem with moths in this house, thankfully! I never see them inside the house but I do use lavender, cedar, and peppermint in my yarn stash to deter them, just in case!

I like your knitting room redo. And it’s great that you used lavender & peppermint oils as part of the clean up/ pest control. I have been using oils regularly since 2016, but I have known about them on some level since 2012 or so.
    Have a great day.

Love the makeover! The contact paper in the back of the dark wood was a great idea. :)

I have most of my washable / acrylic yarn in the guestroom. I have a flat tote under my bed with yarns, and needles that are not used much. In my craft room I keep the boxes that go into the cubie storage with different weights of yarn, so I can just pull out one box instead of having a yarn avalanche every time I need to search. on my desk I have a shoe rack, that's 4 more shelves for yarn. my desk is a dining room table. a lot of totes, and a lot of baskets lol The problem is all the finished objects everywhere.

This came out so pretty! I love that you can see all your yarn. I knew about the lavender but didn’t know about the peppermint!

Aw thank you so much! I’ve been spending much more time in there now that it’s all come together :D Though I do keep finding yarn around the house… 😂 So the shelves are a tad more full now!

Hello! I Just found your channel and wanted to thank you for sharing your makeover. I've had a few yarn shuffles/makeovers myself over the years and can't believe I am still at it at 62 years old. I really enjoyed your video, as only another knitter would, and appreciate the love and attention shown through your process. I used to sort my yarn by weight, but now put my unwound skeins on display by colour because they are so lovely to look at. The rest I store by weight and/or project. I have found Ravelry to be a great resource for keeping track of what I have in my stash as well. :0)

It's such a pretty space~~ I made it full of thoughts of wanting to knit there the whole time I was watching it~ I'm so ashamed of the knitting space in my video I uploaded a while ago~~

Your yarn room looks great! I have all of my yarn in big rubbermaid bins.
