We must find some way to modify this for rhinos. lol

About the quetz issue, a recent patch not only lets you pick up rhinos with the quetz, but makes taming rhinos faster!

Plate Ranger I know that's the rhino's preference, but I was talking about the taming process in general. the patch made it faster.

From what I noticed, you have to click attack a little bit before the impact, could just be the lag on the server, but try it. And if you kill a rhino and access its inventory you get a rhino horn, of which you need five for a xp-boost recipe (150% xp for 20 mins). You also need a black pearl from the new waterscorpion (haven´t found one of them yet, so don´t know how often you get the pearl).

Darin Aguirre dunkleosteus, yes. It was newly added along with the woolly rhino and the eurypterid (although until yesterday the Eurypterid was nearly impossible to find. Yesterday they buffed the spawn rate by 60%).

The rage meter thingy just tells you how fast the rhino is.So when the meter gets maxed out,he's going the max speed (without upgrades that is).

Sl1p, it would be beneficial for you to obtain the green mech in the modded series, it allows greater gathering and one metal ore makes ten ingots, in the machine, if i remember correctly.

I think the rage meter actually tells you how much speed it's building up.
maybe the rhinos effectiveness to bash down walls depends on their level, melee, and movement speed.

Everyone talking about the pronunciation of Dunkleosteous:
Its name means Dunkle's bone because it was named after David Dunkle, a curator at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History. Therefore, it is a combination of Dunkle+osteous and pronounced Dung-kul-ah-stee-us or, if Dunkle is an Americanization of the German word Dunkel, then it would be Doong-kul-ah-stee-us.
"Doonklayawstayoos", this is the right pronounciation for Dunkleosteus, read in English ('Murrican). All the Dino names are in latin obviously, so it's not "Dilo", but "Deelo" (Yes, I don't want to write in phonetic writing) and similar stuff and things, hugs from Italy! Cloaca Unum boo ha ha.
It probably took a long time to time the wooly rhino because you gave it MEAT NOT PLANTS.. THEY ARE HERBOVOR NOT CARNIVORE.
hmm...can't pick up a rhino with a quetz- very high specific gravity? Super-density rhino? Made from Nibbler poop? With a rich unobtainium core perhaps...

So my question is why do you not wait for the food meter to go down before taming?? They tame a LOT faster if you let the food go down since they "appreciate it more". Feeding narco berries makes the food go down faster too, not by much but it does, so with 6x tame it can take as little as an hour to tame just about everything 120 lvl.
I'm getting more and more disappointed with new dinos. This is a mix between a trike and a pachy. Pachy can break thatch and damage wood too, the rhino and his horn is huge, it should at least wreck the wood. No new mechanic here, not a lot of weight for something that is supposed to be a burden beast (a quetz has way more weight), It takes hours to tame and you can't pick them with a quetz although they are smaller than a mammoth. The wiki even say that movement speed will not affect the charging speed WTF !!! People won't tame this dino, it is useless. Studio wildcard is short on ideas and it's been less than a year. I love this game but it scared me a lot for the future.
Animal was a good plesi, she shall be honored. I will personally murder many many megalodons in her name, and then i will murder more because they will attack me because megalodons.... Those rhinos are cool but i have one thing i'm not keen on.... the baby has huge horns! It would be super adorable to have stubby nubbys like trike babys do! ^_^
slip you CAN pick wooly rhinos up with a quetz, i did it yesterday on a pvp server with my friends. maybe it is becouse he was on accro that you cant pick him up....?

The worst part was taming one (about 2 hours) and then 20 minutes after that the patch which makes them carryable by Quetz comes out XD. we had to get the support of another tribe to fly us out a saddle in the middle of a blizzard. It's definitely worth the sweat though. very useful creature to have around :D
I really wish the game devs would actually use a little logic when making these dinos.....They make the Irish Elks babies the size of a puppy, when it should have been the size of a foal. These rinos? they should be born without horns....if these guys want to add horns and feathers where they want to fine. go big or go home. but that doesn't mean these guys have to through everything out the window and have zero real life features.

HEY SL1P if you go to tame a Dunkleosteus and if you use kibble it will insta-tame with one kibble and it takes, saddly Titanboa kibble.
sl1p thats no rage meter but a hart beat meter. hart pumps Blood faster->Blood flows faster->more Blood to muscles-> faster oxygen supply -> more Power -> more speed
It's not an anger meter, Sl1p. It's his charge meter. My tribe mates were telling me that pumping speed, melee, and/or stamina would help the charge. I tamed one yesterday, so we'll see how that goes. :)

As someone who has gone to great lengths to learn how to pronounce the names of most extinct creatures, I must admit your additions and subtractions of syllables to various names makes me beat my head against the desk. I can't wait for this to come out on PS4 so I can start making videos on the real-world versions of all these things.

a quetz floats on a platform, because he has a platformsaddle. and because stacking platforms would be rediculous the devs made it so that a platform dino cant stand on a platfrom dino

I tryed to tame a 112 Rhino it took 2 hour with 10% Taming speed and under the tame it got attacked by saber and losed like 20 levels, on way home it got killed by a alpha raptor lol #SAD
Apparently the latest update made it so you can pick them up with your Quetz now and kibble taming a 120 only takes 20 min instead of an hour.

How do you separate items? like you had 12 wooden walls and you did something and got 6 walls in separate stacks. How did you do that?
The bug you can just call a sea scorpion its easier to say than the true name. Dunkcleosteus is one of my personal favorite creatures ever I plan to get a high lvl one and call it Get Dunked On.
