So, before the Ceratosaurus was even added, I pulled a saddle out of a drop on Scorched. And I love the Xiphactinus. It's one of my top favorite out of the mod. After the Deinosuchus. I'm not crazy about the others, but being console only, I've barely used the others since I've never had them before.

Just an FYI: Cerato's preferred kibble is extraordinary due to how powerful its healing abilities are. It also takes longer to get drunk compared to the mod version because Wildcard *buffed* the effectiveness of its healing venom so that you can use 'em to full effectiveness solo or in a mate-boosted pair, unlike the mod version which necessitated having a full pack of 'em for that.

Cerato is my favorite of Garuga's creatures. But I'm biased, mid-sized theropods are always my favorite. That being said, the Acro is a close runner up for me. And I'm not usually a fan of the huge carnivores.
I knew this day would come eventually, the ark additions mods were basically official in the hearts of many players almost since release lol, garuga knows the ark creature design philosophy almost better than the devs
My guess is your best bet would be to use a beefed up herbivore (imprinted Stego with a good saddle and defense plates comes to mind for those who can transfer tames) and give it veggie cakes to heal it.
You don't even need anything special or for it to be imprinted. Put all level points(max) into a high tame stego and it will tank all the dmg with the stance

See the problem with adding Garugas creatures officially is that they stand out so much in terms of quality. Models Animations Effects Gimmicks Mechanics Whatever Garugas are just top tier compared to vanilla ark Wildcard is going to have to do another TLC overhaul of the game to bring everything in line with these fan favorites now

I love how this will give us some more unique taming techniques. I’m definitely looking forward to Cryolophosaurus and I hope it gets added. Then both my fav Dino’s will be in ark.
One tip I found is that Ceratosaurus doesnt like being trapped, If you make a trap like 24 gates wide the drunkness wont reset, Versus with like 5 gates the drunkness will reset no matter the dino you use.
15:59 I wonder if it's because the Fasolasuchus has recoil damage in the form of a debuff, and it likely does a tiny amount of damage since you can see a little bit of green in the damage received number.
Honestly Ark Additions dinos getting added is a dream come true for me, with acro and cerato being some of my favorite dinos, and brachi being my favorite, I may finally get ASA to be able to play with these dinos in the base game!
To make this a whole lot easier just kill a high level one and steal its kid or kids and imprint it boom don't have tame it at all, such is the case for s lot of other creatures
For those that don’t know any variant that spawned with the modded versions of Garuga’s creatures will not spawn in the game only the base version of the creatures. So if you uninstall the mods when his creatures get added to the game you are soft locking yourself to the base version of the creature I don’t remember if the cerato has a scorched (different color regions than the normal one) but the abyssal xyphactinus is a variant of the xyphactinus and it will no longer spawn if you have uninstalled the mod. In fact if you uninstall the mods and have tamed the modded versions of the creatures your tames will disappear, the base creatures added to the game and the modded versions are two separate creatures that share the same spawn areas
Not gonna lie, I have really mixed opinions about this. I don't know the process ofc, but I'd be concerned about the original modders (with maps, too) being properly compensated for the work that they did, which WC built off of. Not to mention they've...kind of just completely ignored their whole 'we won't be adding more than One Single New Creature per map' thing, aren't they? SG / WC screwed up with A:SE by throwing out tons of new stuff instead of actually doing the boring stuff and _fixing_ the game, and by the time it was obvious they really needed to get around to it, it was too huge and expensive. Thus, A:SA. Definitely seems like the cycle's continuing at this point. Either way, always happy to support my fave Ark creators 🦕
I wouldn't be concerned about how well modders are compensated. I've heard how much some have been given and its money they have been happy with. As for extra critters per map, they are sticking to their original statement, these guys are just extra on top and I wont complain lol

I think when I got my first Lightning, I named it Tempest... though If it'd been a she I'd have named it Zephyra. My friends that I played with also had one raising at the same time and I think they named their lightnings Wattson and Joulian respectively. I will always fondly remember hatching my first high-level poison in christmas colors. Named that one Poinsettia.... I tamed a Christmas gryphon around that time with green wings and a bright red butt that I named Strawberry and she looked just like a plant bird-cat. I miss them sometimes.
A good stego/tek stego with a good saddle would pry be a great choice to use when making them drunk, unless the natural damage resistance messes it up.
I realise this video is a few weeks old but I still wanted to say I’d call him Espinas because with the spikes and those colors he looks like the monster with that name from Monster Hunter. :D
Really curious if you could put the potions on multiple critters and drag one of these guys into a group of passive drugged up dinos and get the passive tame going much quicker?
The timer on the cocktail is definitely bugged I had the same issue on my server. Gathering the items to make the cocktails is a grind; I must have spent around four hours maybe more, and I was only able to make 7 cocktails. Also, the Thyla is definitely the way to go.

Small tip for getting the heavy attack while charging to work--make sure you HOLD right click when you want to use the attack. Should work every time.

I remember the first time I tamed the Cerato, it was about a year ago, I used a mutating rex with 50k health, it took only 2 cocktails.
The Rex's were helping the microraptors take my pants off 😮😅😅😅😂😂😂

Wildcard has their own Deinosuchus on Valguaro. They may not add the Ark Additions version.

I'd recommend using a dino leveled in all hp is a lot easier i used a throw a way rex from breeding but about anything will work
its funny since ceratos arent on scorched foe ase. personally i used a stego with only hp levelled onto it. worked like a charm for taming a cerato.

I had an overspawn yesterday at rex valley and there were like 30 rexes most of which were above level 100
