Thanks for great videos . Freeways around Dallas are world class ! Especially the underground i-635 . Coming from California and driving with no traffic in Dallas was something . Loving it . Texas - by people for people . I was in Germany this summer and always heard everyone talking about autobahn.....what autobahn...... its nothing compared to driving around North Dallas . Germans can learn fer things from Texans . The best roads in the world ! Keep it up Texas !
Lol thanks Ike. Texas, especially Houston has amazing roads but it's been getting harder to drive without traffic lately, due to the explosive growth here :)
I love Dallas. It is a perfect example of why I love the United States of America. Huge open highways with large lanes, spread out cities, large open parking lots, shopping malls, restaurants, space, and BIG. I love it.
When I first watched this, I swear I was watching a ScrewdUPClickV2 video, seriously the editing was that good. This video is pure epicness and your best video to date! Very well put together! :)
Dallas is so so so underrated no mountains no landacape but they make up for it with their beautiful architecture! Also the area is awesome it's better then lots of American cities. Culturally the burbs and inner city are great big places and Friday night lights awesome for any sports fan!!
Last week I saw a video of SH 130 by ScrewdUPClickV2, and I thought that road was awesome. I didn't even know about this project until I came across this channel. That road looks absolutely amazing! Can't wait to drive down to TX next month and travel on not only SH 130, but also LBJ Express. Awesome video, Interstate JD!
Yaaa thanks, it's especially awesome in the express lanes, but the experience on 635 proper is grand to begin with. Believe it or not I've never been on the 85mph segment of TX-130, but screws video is supreme. Heck I still listen to that song, it's so good. I want to see how he handles this road!
I I've heard songs on your videos I wasn't familiar with but are now some of my favorites. I can't remember if it was you or someone else, but I watched a NYC drive that played the Jerome Isma remix of "Feels So Good" by Armin Van Buuren. I never liked that type of music much but that song got me into it.
That's Cosmophotography's video and I love that video and song as well. It's the only road video to have 1m+ views and it has over 3 million. Thanks! I'd check out FreewayBrent, ScrewdUPClickV2, and Trans Canad Phil for similar music... where I got my tastes lol.
Houston still takes the cake, system-wide, IMO but this freeway and Central (and I-35E and I-30 in a few more years) can take much of what H-Town has to offer. Thanks for watching, I'm glad you enjoyed!
+InterstateJD Houstons Freeways are nice, too bad the insanely long traffic ruins them, at least Dallas got these Freeways done in time for the California/New York invasion lol
This expressway is awesome. Lived there when it opened in 2015 and it was sweet. Live in Austin now and they need this instead of the crap they want to do. Learn Austin!
This video just goes to show how impressive highways in Texas are. They’re very wide open with little to no traffic. I would love to live in the Dallas area one day to experience these amazing highways. My hometown of NYC can definitely learn from Dallas and Houston when it comes to highway management.
Was hoping someone would get around to featuring this engineering masterpiece. Awesome work, all around! Went ahead and featured this on my Facebook fan page.
To imagine that only a few years ago, we first saw TxDOT's plans as a proposed design, now to see it in realilty is amazing. Kick ass! Thanx for the video.
Wonderful video as always JD! The LBJ Express is such a massive engineering feat and to think that it's actually finished... I think it's the best freeway in the country with the Katy Fwy in second place now. Thanks for covering a video of the new freeway so soon!
Aww yes. Once they finish I-35E to Denton North Dallas will be a true powerhouse (freeway-wise) Too bad a lot of the Metroplex isn't quite up to its par.
Great Video!!!! Looks like you had to deal with some bad lighting. You work with what you get though. Can't wait to get up there and see it. I get to visit Dallas in 3 weeks!
Just FYI, the LBJ express lanes on both 635 and 35E now have speed limits of 75 mph!!! the fastest speed limit of any urban area in the country! (I checked Google Maps street view for proof.
Remarkable job, JD! That was amazing! That was one epic project they did and it payed off well! Those express lanes seemed empty, I could probably see myself going 85 or 90 on them haha :D
Yes! I can finally directly reply to your comments! Anyway, yeah the express lanes were pretty empty, but keep in mind this was shot on a Sunday evening. I'm sure more people will take it as traffic increases.
I believe you can get toll tags online, or at one of the stores in Plano, Irving or fort Worth. Thanks for watching, hope your tolltag works out for you!
The next best project that I can think of that will be done in a few years is the 91 project in Corona, California. You can look it up if you're not familiar with it. But I saw this Texpress project about two weeks before they finished it. I'm back in California for now. But nice video. I thought ScrewedUpClickV2 would have been the first one to do a video of this completed project.
I'd say Screwd needs to hurry up but he's busy with other projects. Also Texpress is becoming a thing all across the Metroplex, not just on LBJ. Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed :)
Yeah I know. I saw that on their website. They still have other projects to complete. I think they will have them all finished by 2018. At least TxDot usually finishes their work either on time or early. Caltrans usually runs late with their projects.
fallinawayfromcali12 Uggh, I drive through there occasionally, and they have it torn to hell, so I tend to use the 60&57 instead (yes, I'd rather get stuck in the 60/57 mix than drive the 91 between Anaheim and Corona)
+Multiblue Blanket From Keep it Moving Dallas it looks like there may be an extension for the express lanes. Reversible ones to Trinity Parkway/SH 183 but its just a guess
+Multiblue Blanket I found this on Keep it moving if you look in the middle of the road you find HOV lanes, So I think this answers your question www.keepitmovingdallas.com/sites/default/files/docs/35ROLL2_of_3.pdf
Just in today. Scott Beck's Midtown project to start this summer. Expect many more towers at the galleria area. The cranes are coming:) www.bisnow.com/dallas-ft-worth/news/commercial-real-estate/event-previewheadline-54499
3:56 - to answer the question - NO it is NOT amazing as it is a TOLL road. government road builds take 5x longer and are not built correctly not that I want to pay tolls for all of my driving but it is pretty easy economics to understand why these toll roads get built so quickly
This video could have been much better if the goal is to provide information to the viewer. A wealth of real estate in the sky in the footage that could have been used as a background for the text. It could have been more dyanamic through scrolling. Guess, InterstateJD didn't have the money to invest in a good editor.
635 complete ? Complete joke. 635 between 75 and 30 is the worst. The contractor that did this construction should be held responsible, jailed and never be allowed to touch and road again. There has to be a huge conspiracy of corruption, for anyone to sign off and approve any payment for this job had to be heavily bribed. News stations are already digging up the money trails and those involved with contractor and TXDOT and the fact that a private company os charging tolls on a section of highway that was Federal funding for HOV lanes , and random spike in amount charged , different price every hour. Many lives have been lost because of the horrible construction .

Too bad the drivers in Dallas aren't world class.
Great work! The timing of the drive at dusk worked great here.
I love Dallas. It is a perfect example of why I love the United States of America.
Huge open highways with large lanes, spread out cities, large open parking lots, shopping malls, restaurants, space, and BIG. I love it.
Impressive!!!!
Thanks, it really is.
When I first watched this, I swear I was watching a ScrewdUPClickV2 video, seriously the editing was that good. This video is pure epicness and your best video to date! Very well put together! :)
Great ! That's exactly what I was going for, the music, info and time of day does seem really SUCV2ish :/
He actually was the first producer I extensively watched, so you could say he's a bit of an inspiration.
Wow, I love those giant backlit stars on the underground toll road.
RT now ☺️☺️☺️ 669
Wow my mind was literally blown that was awesome I like how the TXDOT constructed the new Highway 10/10.
Thanks, I hope your cranium's gotten back to normal now :)
3:30 awesome. Looks like a racing video game setting
that looks pretty dope at 3:35 I like that freeway
Lol it reminds me of driving through a museum or something, especially at night. It blows every other managed/HOT-lane project out of the water
Yep I never been under the managed express lanes yet of 635
Dallas is so so so underrated no mountains no landacape but they make up for it with their beautiful architecture! Also the area is awesome it's better then lots of American cities. Culturally the burbs and inner city are great big places and Friday night lights awesome for any sports fan!!
I must say this is pretty impressive. Denver, CO officials might wanna watch this

awesome video
Thanks for using some good old trance. Love it

InterstateJD Thanks. I think I'll check them out.
One day I am going to do this. Nice video :)
Thanks
So proud of what the engineers do to make our city have the best freeway system in TX!
Houston still takes the cake, system-wide, IMO but this freeway and Central (and I-35E and I-30 in a few more years) can take much of what H-Town has to offer. Thanks for watching, I'm glad you enjoyed!

thank you
Was hoping someone would get around to featuring this engineering masterpiece. Awesome work, all around! Went ahead and featured this on my Facebook fan page.
Awesome! Thanks for the mention! Glad you enjoyed.
Good Ole Big D. There's a chance I will be moving back to the city in a very near future. Kinda can't wait.
it looks like you driving 100 mph inside that tunnel
My love America Thank you
To imagine that only a few years ago, we first saw TxDOT's plans as a proposed design, now to see it in realilty is amazing. Kick ass! Thanx for the video.
Yeah it seemed like that the construction was never going to end! Here's hoping traffic improves substantially!
Excellent work JD, I can tell you've put a lot of work into that!
Thanks Scott, it was nice to put together.I got lucky with good filming conditions and a a relatively smooth editing process.
Always a pleasure to watch!
Thanks Hansel!
Wonderful video as always JD! The LBJ Express is such a massive engineering feat and to think that it's actually finished... I think it's the best freeway in the country with the Katy Fwy in second place now. Thanks for covering a video of the new freeway so soon!
Thanks, it is absolutely amazing! Yeah, the only thing about the LBJ express I don't like.. it's too short! :P hah thanks for watching!
As if the High Five wasn't badass enough, TxDOT had to up the badassery level another several notches with THIS highway engineering marvel!
So how was it?
+InterstateJD I didn't get a chance to see it, I was really busy up there :( at least I can watch your video to see it
+InterstateJD Guess what? I get another chance to see this, well, 2 chances actually, this March!!!!!!!! I can't Wait!!!!
+InterstateJD I finally got to see it, and record it!!!! It was awesome!!!
This is so awesome. I doubt I'll ever see anything close to this in my country. Very good editing job, too. Well done!
Thanks for watching! I bet that Texas will never see anything as comprehensive as y'all's transit systems over in Europe, so there's that :)
+InterstateJD unless that High Speed Rail Between Houston and Dallas Happens
Just FYI, the LBJ express lanes on both 635 and 35E now have speed limits of 75 mph!!! the fastest speed limit of any urban area in the country! (I checked Google Maps street view for proof.
Thank God. About time
The sky looks pretty cool when you filmed it, InterstateJD.
Indeed it did, that's why I did it this time of day,.
Street racers dream highway
great music choice. I used the same one recently on my episode 9 Downtown and WEM video.
Just watched that video... Great minds think alike lol. I now would love to go to the west Edmonton mall...
Remarkable job, JD! That was amazing! That was one epic project they did and it payed off well! Those express lanes seemed empty, I could probably see myself going 85 or 90 on them haha :D

I know right!? It was hidden in those stupid google+ settings...
Was this video taken at dawn?
I have been driving down that part, it was amazing how they worked it. Just need to figure out how to get myself a TOLL TAG tho...
I believe you can get toll tags online, or at one of the stores in Plano, Irving or fort Worth. Thanks for watching, hope your tolltag works out for you!
Very impressive !! 5*
Thanks Francis!
Dusk on a Dallas highway never looked so pretty.
lol yea
Ah shit Im late! Oh well *cracks beer* Ready to enjoy!
Lmao I hope you liked it! _Bladdam!_
Neat interchange at 0:18
awesome
Thanks for Watching!

FirebirdCamaro1220 The 91 project is at least 91% complete and is on schedule to be completed in the spring of this year.
More like Corona Virus, California
What was that little tiny ramp used for at 2:20? It's on the I-35E express lane flyovers.
Good question, I think it will probably connect to northwest highway loop-12 or spur 342
Connections for future I35 Express? As the completed ramp is taking you to the main lanes.
+Multiblue Blanket From Keep it Moving Dallas it looks like there may be an extension for the express lanes. Reversible ones to Trinity Parkway/SH 183 but its just a guess
There's also another ramp on I-35E north. It's just a tiny little ramp, but I'm not sure what that ramp will used for too. It's at 2:18.
+Multiblue Blanket I found this on Keep it moving if you look in the middle of the road you find HOV lanes, So I think this answers your question www.keepitmovingdallas.com/sites/default/files/docs/35ROLL2_of_3.pdf
