I got the i7 version for $1800, open box from Best Buy. Was it still a bit much? Yeah. But $500 off this beast is a steal. And I'm absolutely loving it. And being a Samsung guy, the ecosystem is just amazing and perfect. And the display. GEEZUS CHROST THE DISPLAY. So damn beautiful. Not to mention it's running my games like butter.

Great review, can't wait to see your video comparing 3 Ultra vs 3 Pro 360. I can't decide which one I want. Part of me wants the 3 ultra i9 for future proof. If It can last me 5-7 years I'll be a happy camper. I also love the 2 in 1 design, I do like to take notes digitally and can see myself using it in tent mode. Can't decide which one to get, wish the ultra was touch screen at least.

PLEASE HELP. In the UK apparently the i9-13900H RTX 4070 is only available in 16gb RAM. I found one with this spec 45% off RRP like new in excellent refurbished condition and it's within my price range (new is completely out of budget for me). But I'm questioning the 16gb ram. Will that be the cause of bottlenecking?! Will the 3.7ghz i9 and RTX pick up the slack? Compared to many other laptops at the same "refurbished" price point, it still seems like a great deal, especially given the size and weight which is very appealing. Mainly I'll be video editing in premier pro, using lighting and basic light photoshop, and Fusion 360 for 3d printing. Is it worth it still with a 16gb ram if there is no other option??? Or should I look elsewhere? I'm struggling to see any other laptop in my price point with more ram that isn't a complete brick. I'm bias to Samsung as I'm in the eco system and love it so I'm willing to flex to get compatibility. Thanks
I think the comments are messing the point. The whole reason to get a book 3 ultra is having access to a discrete GPU in a sleek form factor, rather than just buying a brick laptop. If you want pure performance get a razer blade 16 with 4070, which is also way thicker. I'm personally waiting for yoga 9 and the zenbook 14/16x to launch before i commit to the book 3 ultra. The asus 16x oled will have a 4080 aswell which is crazy, but need to see how it performs first.
This is the exact review I have searching for. Thanks for the detailed comparisons! Also, can you explain the same aspects compared with Asus Zenbook 14x?
Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i (mini Led, soldered 64GB RAM, 4070) price in Europe is more or less the same with Samsung. About 3800 USD. Not for my wallet. New G14 with 7940HS is 2250€ and upcoming Legion "Slim" 5 7940 HS also has far better value.
Tough buy for me, and I am not sold. The i9 is £3050 in the UK with no discounts and max RAM is 16GB. So there are many prosumer laptops that are far more value offering better specs. You have to be devoted to Samsung to buy this, a real fan. As other comments have suggested, there are much more persuasive alternatives. It is not a bad device, just overpriced over here. That may be more to do with the macro-economics and not Samsung’s fault per se, but nether-the-less easy to cross off any shortlist.
Looking at the Puget Systems Photoshop Benchmark. - It’s strange to see the i7-1360p score an 641 in the Lenovo Yoga 9i, and a 855 in the same laptop, and then a 989 in the Samsung Galaxy Book3 Pro… 3 laptops, same processor scores all over the place.
No hdmi 2.1 for oled tv, just 2.0. Better to wait for Lenovo 9i pro yoga/slim, they have better specs at least on paper, waiting for real reviews of it when it’s available in 1-2 weeks

It might make it more difficult to meet that sub 4lb weight, but they really need to resolve that screen flex. Hopefully it doesn’t result in the same cracked screen of issues the Galaxy Book Pro 2 360.
Hey, can you elaborate on the cracked screen issue? I was thinking of upgrading to a GB Pro 2 360 from my old Samsung Notebook that got a crack screen from a faulty hinge (randomly jammed on nothing). I really hope the new galaxybooks dont have a similar issue...

I wasn't wrong, and I cancelled my order. It is overpriced and has some really important stuff missing that laptops in this price range and cheaper have. No touch screen instantly means no purchase. This is a Windows laptop, not a MAC, put the touch screen on it! No front IR cameras, no Windows hello only the annoying fingerprint reader. Then, the HDMI is only HDMI 2.0....on this price of a laptop?!?!? what? Combined with mediocre battery life. Plus, they have made this laptop in some regions like Canada only available with an i7, 4050, and 16 gig ram for 3300 bucks?!?!?! What the....??? it is a very bad value, and even if they lowered the price, the missing tech means I'm not buying it. For Canadians, please be aware too that many are ordering this, and while you never get asked for a French KB, you get it anyways and the shape of the enter key is different to make room for another key. Buyer Beware. Where is the advanced cooling? it still has fans on the bottom, do you see fans on the bottom of any MAC? I'm willing to bet even that even when the MS Surface Studio comes out, it won't have fans on the bottom. When you are in this price range, I expect full metal chassis, no flex AT ALL, I don't want to worry about fans being covered when using it on my lap...such a strange place to use a laptop right? etc etc. Samsung failed here...and I'm a Samsung fan.
Nvidia graphics need fans. They must use one on their GPUs It is reasonable that you compare it to Apple which does not, but Samsung does not have a choice. Either have Nvidia and fans or no fans and no Nvidia. To get rid of fans and maintain GPu power, there must be a different much more resourceful and power efficient GPU. Neither Nvidia nor AMD got those even though rdna 3 brings this dream closer.
