I'm a Zimbabwean, he prioritised education above all. Zimbabwe is one of the countries with a high literacy rate in Africa. We sorely missed him, the lion of the white dudes. The only African leader who dared confronting the American president and British president in public without fear or hesitation. He was chosen by God to bring respect, recognition and honour to the black child who even today reviled, ill-treated and mocked around the world.

Poor leadership execution off decisions made towards the imperialists. As educated as he was he should have done better than this leaving Zimbabweans displaced like bag off potatoes to the world to South Africa. Knowing how the imperialists work as a results off forcing to take back what is yours is a lesson Plan Africans needs to do better. They don't prepare for the worse they just act and not thinking's for the population knowing their luxury and lifestyle will take care off them for a very long time when his citizens suffers the consequences. Think about this no any African country assisted Zimbabwe faced with sanctions to get it progressing economically and politically except for South Africa that helped Zimbabwe to use the Rand and permitted thousands off Zimbabweans to work and live in SA. That displacements off Zimbabweans created a squabble for the limited resources in SA with the poor left behind and still argued if The forcing off the colonial imperialist without proper economic and political preparedness helps Pan Africanist when it results to bringing back the whites and selling your lands to chinese and Zimbabweans still squabbling for economic and political positive come back. Hopefully the ANC be smarter than this because we can't be displaced to Zimbabwe to have Maphonga say at least we got our lands back but faced with similar deadlock unable to break through economically and politically divided. Zimbabweans should be thinking what land did we get back today and what's happening to those lands and where are Zimbabweans today mostly in this horrible tough times and where is the rest off Africa under pan Africanist idealogies now assisting Zimbabwe to get out off these mess Mugabe put them into. Ramaphosa in SA should not go this way unless strategically prepared to face the consequences of sanctions that Zimbabwe under went and have allies that can assist SA economically and politically and knowing that the imperialist multinationals and it's partners with its ally nations when gone they are replaced fast by progressive working Trade deals and financial instruments that works. I respect Mugabe but just thought off himself and family not for the population off Zimbabweans. I wish you understand diplomatic history well. When we attained independence in 1980, the Apartheid SA government tried at all costs through its Destabilization Policy to stop all independent countries from supporting the independence of SA. At that time the white-led SA gvt was so powerful that NO newly independent country could stand to openly support the liberation of SA, plus fears of sanctions for supporting ANC. So here is the point, diplomatically, Mugabe had to publicly reject ANC's call for whatever form of assistance but supported them behind the scenes, which you will never agree and appreciate. I am not persuading anyone to believe this but that's what happened, that is why ANC leaders themselves in their speeches acknowledge the contributions of Zim to your independence. When we say this we are not asking anything in return NO, but a few know that Mugabe's NO for assistance to SA was a strategic move to distract the Apartheid govt because already the Apartheid gvt was launching attacks on independent states through its Destabilization Policy to weaken them so they don't support SA. I wish you know how crucial Zimbabwe's borders were when it comes to the smuggling of weapons from Russia into SA.
And also a question emanating from your point on Russia's military assistance to SA, is how did Russia's military assistance reach SA without being smuggled through our Zim, Mozambique, Botswana borders because, no matter what, foreign aid never reached ANC directly because the apartheid govt was very vigilant of this. If you can answer this then, regional support to SA's independence did not help in any way.
