He did give Zimbabwe one of the best educational system though; from a freedom fighter, he sat down with the British and negotiate the terms for the country's freedom at Lancaster house; when the British reneged on their agreements, he took back the land forcefully; Under sanctions still, Zimbabwe is producing surplus food, the black small miners are mining the land that was stolen by Europeans, they have not returned the stolen cows 🐄. Western media vilified him, planting opinions in our minds that resulted in comments like yours.
I think Zimbabwe is on its way, thanks to the bravery of her great son, Robert Gabriel Mugabe.

@@obeahman6286 I know more than you because I am from that country. Mugabe was seeking medical attention in Singapore for years when he was still the President. His daughter even gave birth in Singapore, when her father was still the president, which caused an outcry in Zimbabwe. All their doctors were British. Most Zimbabweans are suffering, many are leaving the country now more than ever. The country has 18 hours of power cuts which the current government has said is because Mugabe never invested in power generation or the building of power stations. In some areas, they can go for days without electricity. Only 1% of Zimbabweans are living the good life. I am not saying Mugabe was bad. He had some good policies like education, but some of his policies affected the country negatively even up today.

The irony
I love America and I thank God every day for the gift of beginning my life here. I also love the whole of humanity. The tenacity of the likes of Putin and Mugabe is legendary. The adversity they and their peoples have endured can't be overstated. I will always respect these countries and regret my government's treatment of them. As for Russia, they have been the American ally for generations. And, at the same time somehow our enemy. Moreover, Africa is home to all and Zimbabwe is part of that. It's where this all began. Russia was provoked into Ukraine by the encroachment of NATO into lands protected by treaty. It's certainly not the first time that America has ignored a treaty. I stand for peace. Hopefully, we can find it at the end of one of these endless conflicts. How would we like it if a global superpower sanctioned us over the treatment of Native Americans? We wouldn't. America was founded on fairness. We've lost our way since then. For that which this is worth, from one American to the world: I'm sorry for our imperialism. The people know not what they do. We are indoctrinated to believe that we are spreading freedom. That's hard to do while at the time constricting it.
