What Waseem Altaf is saying that Pakistan has no option left but to make peace with the more powerful India, is a rational thought. Pakistan has never exhibited that it is a rational player. It has always believed (I mean genuinely believed and not just been rhetorical) that muslims are equal to 10 Hindus when it comes to fighting a war. This is despite that history of India Pakistan wars over last 75 years. I don't think Pakistan is a rational player. There are too many mullah in the establishment in Pakistan.

In my personal opinion, Pakistan was never punished for starting all wars with India. All those wars were started during Congress governments, they were weak and corrupt. That’s why the current Establishment and the terrorist sympathizers in Pakistan wants the Congress government, not Modi in power in India. So they can restart their thousand cut policies. I hope and pray Congress never gets in power in India.

Good discussion. However with trust not existing and without any confidence building measures from their end I see the change in the current status by GoI towards IRP not possible. As a common citizen of the country I do not see any worth in changing the policy towards that country where radicalism is highly prevalent. We rather focus on our path of development without getting distracting by these overtures. Relationship with IRP is not worth it.
What action did NS take against those who were the culprits of the sabotage? Instesd of holding them responsible, he awarded them. Gen Musharaf had had another feather in his cap after becoming Chief of the Joint Staff. NS has good intentions but he lacks courage. His own brother doesn't toe his line.

All these self defacing and introspection has no effect on the masses, politicians or the powerful omnipotent people who matter in the affairs of Pakistan. After the declaration by Modiji that the Pakistan case is locked and nailed, nothing is there for anyone to say anything. The present situation of the stalemate in the relationship is working good for both the countries
Earlier, India used to engage with cricket, artists, people to people, retired diplomats and media. All these goody goodies failed because of the very base of formation of Pakistan based on the hatred for India and the declared stance that India is an eternal enemy. Any goodwill gesture is bound to fail.
The final nail in the coffin was the response of Pakistan to Modiji's visit to Lahore to attend Sharif's kin wedding and Modiji's expression of respect to Sharif's mother. Modiji was mocked just like ABV’s visit to Jinnah’s memorial cleaned by jamate Islami with milk.
