    Gorgeously non-minimalistic. A sequencing masterclass.

      @LeDernierAbsent just blurted out my first thought. Am trying to make music with as little as modules as possible. It became an obsession. So your work in contrast did impress big time.

    you could try to use Nerdseq's tables to get rhythm right - triplets against "normal" notes

    The AI version … the beauty of the music still shines through but I think it benefits from some human inflection. Notable that Glass didn’t use the first sequencers that came out about the same time as his early works …

    The machines will have none of your 3:2 polyrhythms. EIGHTH NOTES ONLY!

    • @LeDernierAbsent
      @LeDernierAbsent  2 года назад +3

      Was challenging to get the triplet. I had to subdivise all bars in 12 équal parts to recreate it....

    • @doctordave
      @doctordave 2 года назад +2

      @@LeDernierAbsent Yeah I can imagine. The funny thing is... I had to do the same thing to the bar in my head when I was learning to play the piece on piano!

      I am pretty sure 3:2 polyrhythms are possible with the sequencer. But that doesn't mean it is as straight forward as the usual suspects. ;-)

    • @LeDernierAbsent
      @LeDernierAbsent  2 года назад

      @@xorelectronics Yes I confirm it is also possible, by using tables and transpositions :)

    Incroyable ce morceau, et ça rend vraiment bien avec ces de sonorités, c'est quand même un peu dommage de pas pouvoir exprimer la cadence, enfin je crois pas qu'on puisse l'exprimer avec un séquenceur... Très cool bravo !

    • @LeDernierAbsent
      @LeDernierAbsent  2 года назад +1

      Merci à toi l'ami :) oui le 3:2 est discret. Surtout si on l'écoute au tel. Ça passe mieux sur des vraies enceintes et en direct.

    • @LeDernierAbsent

      La voix du haut c'est le Plaits. Il passe juste dans un filtre, et est modulé par un LFO a peu près sinusoïdal.
