I've noticed something about these stations, actually. They seem to generally only have one boarding gate, which means that any row assignments have to be done during boarding. They're basically boarding one row at a time, of course dispatches are going to be slow.
They load the train front to back and so depending on where you are in line, you already know where you’ll be sitting.
Seems like the park would take a little more pride in not just their dispatches but capacity. Middle of summer...not exactly a dead day in April

Acrobat wasted 2 minutes before people even got on the train. Yikes…
Steel dragon 2000 wasted 3 minutes before people got on it
Acrobat is horribly slow, I always think it's closed until I actually walk into the station.
And we don't even know how long the unloading took.

I had to film it from the exit because Acrobat had a full queue, and I was not about to wait in that line. I rode it the day before when it was a walk on and couldn’t film the dispatch then, since we got on immediately. Definitely not the best angle, but nothing I could do

Damn they were running fast when you went, on the day I visited acrobat was at around 10 minutes per dispatch and pretty much everything else was around 5 minutes with only 1 train ops.

How do you do so bad with an arrow corkscrew. They are seriously one of the easiest rides to load.
They have leg seat belt.
By far, the worst operations on the tour. I really want to like Spaland as much as some of the others we visited, but with those operations, it's very difficult.
Hakugeis dispatches Aren’t the best but are totally worth the wait, it’s an awesome ride
So what I can guess is that Japan takes cues from Six Flags?
I feel like Japan has slow dispatches for a reason, I know Japanese culture is based a large part off of respect so that may be a reason

@@matthewl5434 If they wanted to be respectful then they would have a faster dispatch time. This has nothing to do with respect but more or less to do with horrendous employee training.

You know it bad news when you don't see people walking through the gate and onto the ride until the 2 or 3 minute mark on the clock.

Nope. Acrobat had a full queue. You just can’t see it because of where I filmed it. They were actually waiting on guests to put their things in a locker, which occurs on the ride platform itself.

I remember riding Acrobat in May and was appalled at how long it took. The queue wasn't even long yet took FOREVER. Edit: actually, you're just reminding me how terrible many of the dispatches were. I remember thinking that I rode very little given how quiet it was on the day, but now you've reminded me why!k
The people who said that Fuji Q Highland has the worst operations in Japan, they must have done a park tour of all of the amusement parks in Japan, but Nagashima Spaland was closed for two weeks to clean and repair and they didn’t have time to get back to it before it opened back up, so they just skipped it and that is why it isn’t considered to have the worst dispatches in Japan. This was a joke btw, lol!

In Hakugei’s case, that’s about average for other RMCs. Maybe with the exception of Steel Vengeance lol.

woody72691 at least the last time I went midway through the summer, all 3 trains were stacking for a minute or more after every cycle.

Janek Ge pretty much. Unfortunately it’s just the luck of the draw. Also timing it when it was a walk on the day before wouldn’t have been as fair, since they weren’t filling the train.

Best operations ever was the Six Flags mine train in the late sixties. I am sure they were running 3 trains and as your train rolled in and you were loading, the next train showed up on the final brake run. The final block was short and they could hold the trains on the lift hills if things went wrong.

Ultra Twister L/UL was probably half that when it opened in Houston in 20 years ago. Load and unload was done in motion at the same terminal. Conveyer belt walkway on either side of the train. As you can expect there was an obvious sense of urgency. Rode it over multiple years and never had a panic loading/unloading train stop. Worked actually pretty well. IMO. After AstroWorld shuttered I knew it was relocated to Japan, but was unaware of this change.
Seems like they can learn a lot from Europapark

When I see Ultra-Twister here I think about how they murdered transporting a similar model and thus is why there isn't one literally at Six Flags America Maryland right now.
Just imagine what its dispatch times would be if the coaster DID make it to Six Flags America!
Japanese coasters have funny dispatch sounds - the one at 4:49 sounds like an old cellphone ringing :D
Well, considering the previous train is probably still on the glacially-slow Japanese lift hill, there's no rush.
This is some of the worst dispatches I have seen in your operations videos, yikes! Nagashima Spa Land needs to step it up.
Looks like my home park's dispatch time feels like Cedar Point's dispatches. In my home park, 1:40~2:00 per B&M dive (2trains) and 2:00~2:30 for B&M invert (1train)
but here 5 min is the average

FYI everytime I've been to the park (4 times) Arashi only ran one side and Acrobat only ever runs one train.
If nothing else, we got to hear more of the jaunty music than we do in most operations videos, so that's something.

3:42 - I gotta say. Glad to see Breaktime making a triumphant return. Is the new timelapse music Japanese sounding for your Japan coasters?
2:37 - Considering the fact that it is a short but sweet Ultra Twister coaster and that they load/unload at least a couple vehicles in the station while moving slowly, and 2 vehicles can cycle on the circuit at once, that's exceptional!
5:00 - Totally awful indeed. The fact is that they do not have seatbelts interlocked on the harnesses for some non-understandable reason, not to mention they do not pull down their restraints and fasten belts once seated when the load/unload/dispatch time should actually be no more than a minute for a coaster with this type of ordinary "short but sweet" layout.
7:13 - Should be faster, not as great as Ultra Twister, as another vehicle can dispatch once one either crests the lift hill or exits the zig-zag curves.

Hakugei has this huge station and they assign one train at a time lol, just let the chose their row! Is that sign she’s holding to not pull the lab bar down? Did you time acrobat a few times at least?
I never really paid attention to dispatch times in any park because I was usually busy being excited for the upcoming ride. But ever since your Europapark video I feel like no matter where I go, it's soooooo much slower.

I guarantee that the lines there would move *a lot* faster if the Ride Ops would let people wait at the actual station gates before getting on! It looks like they hold all the passengers back at the entrance to the station itself, which completely defeats the purpose of the station gates! And that's without mentioning the fact that half of their coasters seem to be running only one train! This is La Ronde levels of incompetence!

Is that typical of the B&M flyers? Superman at Great America had some 6 minute dispatches when I was there, but the operations there in general were the worst I've seen so not sure if it's the park or the ride.

Yes, you can pay to skip a line one time. Some of our group did it with Arashi.
Come to Toverland on Halloween or midsummer evening to see really fast ride operators like me ;)

Was there 2 weeks ago and I ended up splurging and getting nearly $200 in fast passes to avoid the lines caused by the bad ops. Acrobat was indeed had the worst operations, followed by Steel Dragon 2000. Thanks for the video.

It tells you where to place your hands. Instead of putting them in the air, they want you to cross them and hold onto the lap bar at all times.

You and I must have a completely different idea of what a ‘good’ video is, because those videos are nothing but cringe. It’s a miracle I haven’t deleted them all off of RUclips. I am glad you enjoyed them, but I have moved on and am doing what I consider to be miles ahead of those videos.

Why do you get the most awkward angles?
Sometimes we don't have much of a choice because of the way the lines or viewing areas are set up. It makes it tough to get a traditional view.

I Guess the people in Japan 🇯🇵 never herd of the words. Speed, Hurry Up, Double Time, Quickly. 😂. Those were terrible. Almost 5 minutes for some.
