Your explanation helped answer many of the lingering questions I had about the Gilomen tune that were not directly answered on the Gilomen website. Thank you for taking the time to provide such a detailed and thorough walk thru as it addressed many of the puzzling questions that were still bouncing around in my OCD brain. Two thumbs up!!
Thanks! I imagine there are quite a lot of empty can "mufflers" out there lol. I don't think the factory one would blow all of it out, but it certainly can and will stop up the spark arrestor, causing the engine to overheat. Pull them screens!
Do you have a link for the exhaust? I have a 2022 XP on order & want to get all the goodies lined up. Also, I looked but didnt see anything, do you have a sound clip of the exhaust?
It seems like they have changed their name, but here is the one I have, it's the same one. ggbexhaust.com/products/2016-2018-polaris-rzr-1000 For the sound, check out a few of my latest vids or channel update vids where I do a walk around of it PS... you'll love it! It's a badass machine
New sub here, I have had my 2021 1000 4XP since November of 2020. And I also believe we shook hands at windrock a few months back as well. I noticed what looked to be switches near the center console in the rear. If that is the case, what do the switches do?
Howdy! I remember, welcome to the channel! Those are indeed switches... I put Tusk seat heaters in all 4 seats, those are the hi/low switches for the rear seats
Great video I definitely wanna do this tune on my general xp. Would you say it’s ok to do the tune with out the clutch kit ? I wanna do clutch also at some point.
Hello. Love your General and the build. I’m waiting on my new General xp to come in so I can start my build. I’m going to do portals as well. Can tell me how wide your machine is and what offset wheels you have? How much ground clearance do you have? Also what length limiting straps do you have? Where would I find the videos of your machine in action? Thanks in advance.
Sorry for the late reply. It sits about 74" wide, i went with 6/1 offset like factory wheels, figured it was plenty wide enough. It's nice n stable. Ground clearance is right at 20" without adding in any pre-load. Limit straps are 24" in the rear, 23" in the front, works just right. Make sure to put 1" spacers behind the strap brackets to space them out. You can find some good video of it on my friend's channels. RZR Adventures, Wooly Swamp Adventures, & Rocky Top Riders.
Dumb question. I just took my ECU off my Ranger 1000 to send into Giloman. Well I did it in a rush before I left for work...and I didn't mark which plug was which. Upper vs lower. How do I figure out which one goes on top and which plugs into bottom? The plugs are not hanging in a way to clearly know on the Ranger....I don't want to plug up backwards and screw up anything!!
Is that the trail muffler or the race muffler that they offer? have been debating on which one to get myself. Also do you think i need a tune first or ok to put the muffler on. ill be going with a dyno jet tune
I got the trail version, I really like it. I think you *can* run the muffler without a tune, but you may possibly get some popping and/or backfiring from the less restricted flow. I don't know that for sure, but if it does, you'll know why. If it does, don't run it like that until you get the tune.
$400.00 bucks for a few minutes to flash the ECU? No way. I'm breaking in a 2022 XP4 Deluxe with RC. If that thing throws so much as a loose thread on a seat Polaris is going to fix it. But the Gilomen flash C'mon man 400 bucks for a couple connectors and a start button on PC software. No way.
How you do not have more subs is beyond me! You are a wealth of knowledge! I learned so much in this video.

Great “quick” video there Jason. Explained very well. Enjoyed it.
Haha thanks! 😁

Thank you sir!
Awesome video. Very informative. Many thanks.
Had no idea about exhaust packing. Very informative!

Prob to late of a response to help now, but yeah, you can do it with stock clutch just fine.
