I'm not sure how I'll end up doing this one, but I'll probably come up with some time of alignment jig. I run an Aerospace machine shop and have access to some pretty incredible machines, so I'll see what I come up with. And sure thing man, I plan on documenting the whole thing!
You will definitely have to fix the cooking tube, they can be a source of much aggravation later on. I bought some of the last parts kits several years back that still had the original barrels and HK bolts. I hate the profile of the new made barrels I've gotten. And the muzzle threads won't fit the original flash hiders.. Let me know if you have found new barrels made to match the originals somewhere. Thanks.
Hey man, for the rust, don't use oil !! Just boil it and card it. It's very simple and the blueing will look awesome. Great unboxing

Apex currently has original virgin FMP barrels.
