That looks gorgeous. Taking these old woodies and smoothing them out with new twists is just the best.
Mike Walton not if they fuck it up like they did here. One look when comparing the original and this, Twisted Cyclone just looks unfinished and like they used atuo-complete to finish the ride. Plus it's stats are pathetic, i mean it's like 5 feet taller than the original and isn't any faster. I'm not expecting Steel Vengance stats, but at least Wicked Cyclone like stats.
They could have made a better ride if they put more effort into this ride. I wanted to love this ride, I was hyped for it since 2016, but Six Flags and RMC botched the ride up so badly.
They should have tore it down and built one of those sick-looking new Vekoma launch coaster in it's place.
Sad to hear.. wish I could go out and see for myself. It's a shame.. the POV looked good.. short.. but better than the neck breaking decrepit woody. I'll take your word for it. Sometimes it's better to start over. I used to have more time for coasters and went out of my way to ride 'em. Its cool tho that there are people that let us see and discuss .. live vicariously.
AshenTycoon I've ridden it many times alright, and I whole-heartedly believe they couldn't have possibly made it any better with the space they had to work with. That said, this is, by far, the best ride in the park. I'm absolutely in love with it
Im only curious, have you ridden the ride? I felt the exact same way as you did until I rode and must say, it does not feel like an incomplete ride. But I do also wish it was longer!

This ride is amazing! I love it. It's so smooth. And the fact that it has nothing to really hold on to is a plus... so you're forced to have your hands up the whole time. Great ride!

I have to say..I am a Georgia resident and live about 35 miles from SFOG. I have had the pleasure to be able to visit and ride the majority of attractions that have come and gone since the park opened in 1967, as I was born in 1972 and have been tall for my age. That being said...there have been several coasters added and taken away, such as Z-Force- A coaster designed in a compact, multi-level design meant to mimic the actions of a WW-1 era bi-planes maneuvers. It was relocated with “The Ninja”, currently names “Blue Hawk” as it was repainted and titled for the newest National Lampoons Vacation” movie.
Now, to the point...The Twisted Cyclone is an awesome ride. It is a short ride, however, the coaster makes up for it with sheer excitement in its design. The name it was given describes it perfectly. Since it was used on the Georgia Cyclones wooden structure and made into a hybrid steel-wood coaster with unbelievable inversions that have replaced the classic wooden coaster design. In my personal opinion, it is the best coaster I have ever had the pleasure of riding! Riders better be thankful that the trains have a great restraint system because that is all you have to depend on to keep you in the seats. That is one of the major aspects that makes this coaster so thrilling! The speed is fast enough for the speed factor, the airtime is perfect and the inversions work perfectly with the design. The physics are as near perfect as possible from this compact, fast and thrilling coaster!
RMC is what B&M was in the 90's and early 2000's. Just pumping out great coaster after great coaster!

The coaster trains are very similar to “The a Rock and Roller Coaster” at Disney World. I love the magnetic propulsion system at Disney, the darkness and music it has and the either theme portrayed...even with the Disney ride in the dark. Still, Twisted Cyclone is much better..even seeing what’s xomkg
They sale GM Official Corvette Shirts at the gift store at the exit for this ride. They are in fact little corvettes, rode this like 6 times and everytime I got the black Vette instead of the red one.
Given Twisted Colossus is absolutely amazing, I'm sure this one is wicked as well!

Looks great! I remember how it was as the Georgia Cyclone. It was very rough towards the end. Still fun but rough. I think this remodel is awesome though. Can't wait to ride it.

Rode it several times again today. Found out from one of the ride operators that the black car is faster than the red car. If you want to compare this to any other RMCs please ride the back two rows of the black car. You will be VERY HAPPY, I Promise.

I’m glad Georgia Cyclone got RMC’d. I rode it the last season it was just Georgia Cyclone and it beat you up worse than a NYC mugging.

I've both versions of the cyclone. The O.G. and twisted.
Georgia Cyclone was a legend, have so many great memories on that coaster.. would always take my seatbelt off and keep the lap bar loose. By far the best air time on any coaster I’ve been on, and I swear I almost was ejected from that thing, probably a few times haha... Gonna miss the old one but the new remodel looks insanely awesome.

Why do people think that this is 1 of the weakest RMCs?? It looks like 1 of the best!!
Ikr most of those people never rode it anyway. People keep saying they should’ve added a 3rd lap but y’all complain about Wicked Cyclones third lap because of its pacing issues so I’m sure Twisted Cyclone would have pacing issues also. And Twisted Cyclone is a fast paced ride, gives good ejector, good hand choppers and a good first drop. It’s good for what it is, not all rides have to be like Steel vengeance or Lighting Rod to be a good ride. Also no rmc is “weak”.

All RMCs look so amazing, disappointing I have never been on one. I cant wait until they RMC Robin Hood at my home park (walibi holland) next year.
If you ever visit the US I strongly suggest Cedar Point without question. Get the express pass and ride Steel Vengeance first. But don't skimp on the motel - the cheap ones in that town are REALLY cheap.
parcog Ive been planning a trip to the US (including cedar point) for some time now. Probably going within a year. Thanks for the tip about the motels! I was thinking of staying at a hotel in the park for the early park entry and the convenience.
Quinton Parchment oh, trust me, it is. Robin Hood is rougher than any slc. It is kinda fun not knowing whether you are going to survive it or not everytime you ride it, but a proper RMC will be a great addition, since it will give walibi holland a pretty sick top 3.

I'll say this a MILLION times, Twisted Cyclone is a GREAT ride if it's your first RMC. But if you've ridden other RMC's it's just over too quick! It pulls into the brake run just when you're hoping for more! Like when you were a kid and your scoop of ice cream fell off of the cone before you could finish it! It should have stayed true to the original 3 laps. I still LOVE it though!!!
Maybe you misunderstood what I meant. I REALLY respect your opinion man and it's OKAY if we disagree. Twisted Cyclone is the first RMC that many of the people who have been commenting have ever ridden so they actually don't have a fame of reference to compare it to. I've ridden other RMCs and the longer they are the more thrilling they are. I've also been on Twisted Cyclone and it's a GREAT ride but after riding Georgia Cyclone for years, right away you notice that it's shorter. My first reaction was, "Where's the rest of it?" Then people automatically assumed that I was bitching about the ride which is NOT the case. If you order a pizza with pepperoni and you get it home and there's no pepperoni on it, you immediately notice it. My ONLY issue was Georgia Cyclone had 3 laps so Twisted Cyclone should have had 3 laps too. I just felt that removing an entire lap ruined the legacy of such an iconic coaster. But I still LOVE Twisted Cyclone though! It's a GREAT ride. I just felt like they should have stuck to the original length. It's been a year since the announcement video was released and I've been getting my ASS kicked for a year just for having an opinion. We're a week away from the 2019 announcements and that's what I'm looking forward to so I'm NEVER gonna comment on Twisted Cyclone again. No offense man but this has REALLY gotten old.

Just left the park 2 hours ago. Rode TC on July 21 and couple times today. The black car is faster than the red. The ride is slower in the mornings. Ride the black car back seats (last two rows) at the heat of the day and you will NEVER forget the experience. I have done this twice and will say 100% time you follow this advice you will be VERY Happy. If you want to compare to other RMC pleaseeeee ride black car back seat heat of day. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! P.S. Do not take your kid on this ride black car back seat as I saw two sets of CRYING kids getting off the ride. This is not a kid friendly ride people.
I live in Georgia. So I have a season pass to six flags and when I go. That is the first ride I ride because it’s just that good.

I loved the before and after. My favorite part is towards the end you get confused on where you are for a second after the modifications.

I went to six flags over georgia on May 24, 2019 and IT WAS AWESOME i ride like pretty much every single roller coaster there is
I stood under the thing while my fam went on so I could watch my sis. The ride went over the roof above us, it shook us so much.

Rob really grew on me I love his passion.. love the channel..no other channel is in the same hemisphere in terms of subscriber count..some of that maybe legacy but the view count doesn't lie
