What kind of products do you intend to model? Inventor shouldn't be any problem once you know NX or any other CAD software. I also know Solid Edge, and trust me, all CAD software share the most important things. Once you deeply know one of them, the others are easy to get used to.

Not going to lie, from watching the first 3 parts i didn't see much difference between inventor and straight up AutoCAD for 3D modeling but when I saw how quick and easily you could place a threaded hole, it was obvious. The only thing was you didn't rotate or move the part itself during the rendering process (such as having the part lie on its side, as it realistically look when placed down) could you still do that in inventor or is it prevented by the axis plane?

Mr. Cohee, I live in Guadalajara, Mexico and it has been very hard for me to find a company or person that knows Autodesk Inventor 2012 inside out!!!! Would you be able to direct me to a distributor here or something of the like??? I have several ideas for diferent products and need a designer such as yourself. I thank you in advance for your consideration!!! Fernando.
