  • Little did we know what we were getting ourselves into on this day. Towering in at almost 10,000 feet we climbed our way up to Pinyon Peak, which happens to be one of the highest roads in Idaho! The trail and views reminded us of Colorado with steep drop offs, tight switch backs, and mountains surrounding us. What a trip!! If you ever get the chance, we highly recommend this trail!
Also big shoutout to our friends @RoamAdventureCo for joining us on the trip! Be sure to check them out!

A small point, but when you turn east from Id 75 you are heading into the White Clouds

I would like to know where you camped and the stream you were fishing from the evening you got down from the Pinion Peak drive. We're taking that road this August 2024.

I took this road last week in my Power Wagon. I had to remove several trees with a chain saw due to a recent wind storm. The only other thing I saw where SxS. My wife was scared a few times but I thought it was not too bad.

We went a couple weeks ago, the video is on my channel, and the switchback you see at 3:03 was a wall of snow! we made it though. but i would say Twin Peaks fire lookout (just south west of challis) is better and definitely a more dangerous road and its even higher in elevation! Highly recommend checking it out if you're in the area.

I drove the loop with my grandpa a couple of summers back from the Seafoam side to Yankee fork, super cool fire lookout! I really thought the road would be worse though, not bad at all. Haha the couple that was living up there manning the fire lookout had a stock 80s F150 parked up there! 😂 super cool road though! Lots of burn worth the Frank on both sides of the road

Awesome! Yeah the trail really isn't that difficult, just a little intimidating at times with the tight switch backs and steep drop offs haha. The burn patches are really cool through there!

great vid next time takes the Colorado zr2. be careful in that bronco they are over hyped they tend to fall apart, a buddy of mine has one and it has had several elect. problems and then he did a small jump and the wheels headed different directions lol, then we got that fixed(rigged) and then the transmission was making a clicking grinding noise and wouldn't go in to 4-wheel drive. so, we had to pull it threw lot of areas to finish the adventure. our group have just under 20 vehicles, and we have now outlawed broncos from the adventure trips. in the 16 yrs we have been doing these trips we never had a vehicle with so many problems. Love your vids keep them coming

Sounds like he must have gotten a lemon.. luckily we've never had a problem with ours! We've really liked ours and how its performed so far!

@@CBIOFFROADFAB well there have been widespread reports to them having elect. problems. some have just shut down going down the interstate, so they have a elect lemon problem. then as far as them being tuff, don't jump it ,even a foot high, they cannot take it. you can jump that Colorado zr2 and it is built for it, but the bronco even the rapture verson is not built strong enough to jump. Broncos were hyped as being a great off-road vehicle, the videos gave the impression you could raise hell and Baja them, but they will break. I see people driving them and act like thy are driving the greatest thing ever made and guys like me that know better just chuckle, that they essentially got screwed. Just be careful in it .

The road doesn’t seem that intimidating. Half the dirt roads I’ve driven in Idaho are scarier than that. You wouldn’t believe the places I used to take an AMC Eagle!

I appreciated an honest, human fear of heights or tumbling down 3000 feet down...you don't see that too much on RUclips and on channels like this

This is definitely not the most dangerous road in Idaho. You boys from another state? It is a fun drive though.
