After the free flowing opening test match this was a dour, hard fought encounter. Maybe my memory failing me but I thought I remembered this game being broadcast in colour?
@@christouvelos4897 channel 7. I remember the first test definitely on 7 with Rex in the studio and most of the first half dropping out due to problems with the satellite.

Not in Australia, pre colour but it is an English broadcast although never seen any colour footage.
Graham Eadie was an outstanding fullback.
Gotta love the Wombat
thanks never seen this test!
Hi Chris, still remember staying up all night to watch it.
@@eagleeric2598 on the ABC i guess?

@@eagleeric2598 i think your thinking of the 1978 tests which Mossop commentated. Seven started in 1975 with TV, apart from some ad hoc 60s games.
@@christouvelos4897 no, I do clearly remember the 1st test of 1973, Rex was in the studio and introduced the English coverage.
Seem to remember the Aussies being the better side overall but G.B. never got to terms with being a man down.
Great match. Eadie's kicking was great but Tommy's punches were better!!
