OK, so I'm Slavic, not from Lithuania specifically, but you're right that generally "sweet" is not the immensely sugary "sweet" that you get in North America. Generally, if we want to add a sugary flavour, we tend to use powdered sugar and not cane sugar type stuff; Check out German Pfefferneusse for an example! :) A lot of our confectionary like cakes tend to have a more bready flavour compared to American stuff, but there is still a degree of sweetness, it's just usually on the outside or as a topping, like cake dipped in icing or honey, rather than in-built sweetness (achieved by adding sugar to the baking itself). I hope that makes a little sense!

I look back at some of that stuff and I say, ‘Why the fuck did I say that?’ No matter right or wrong, that’s a bad look.’” The following paragraph reads: “Jafari went on to say that he ‘treats everyone with the same respect they afford him’, adding that he felt bad about the incident, but also felt bad ‘that we can’t talk about these things without witch hunting each other.’“

Also, can you show me some instances in which JonTron has tried to walk back what he said? His post-debate talk with Destiny only serves to cement that he's not sorry for being racist - he's sorry because he admitted to it publicly.
@@cinatiropelHe made a video apology/clarification video. Whether it’s still up, I don’t know. I had to do a little reading to remind myself of what happened in more detail and, in a Polygon article they quoted him saying “‘In that moment, I was going into something that I needed a lot more time to prep for,’Jafari said. ‘I just went in, guns blazing, because you know, you get a little arrogant sometimes ... obviously I understand why people had the reaction they did. I look back at some of that stuff and I say, ‘Why the fuck did I say that?’ No matter right or wrong, that’s a bad look.’” The following paragraph reads: “Jafari went on to say that he ‘treats everyone with the same respect they afford him’, adding that he felt bad about the incident, but also felt bad ‘that we can’t talk about these things without witch hunting each other.’“
@@cinatiropelI think a lot of the aftermath got buried in the outrage and a lot of people didn’t bother listening to what he had to say long after the debate. I’ve been a fan of JonTron for years up to that point so I wanted to give him a fair shake and he seemed genuinely remorseful but he also wasn’t going to bend backwards to appease everyone. Which, on the internet, is kind of a safe move. Especially since a lot of what he said got exaggerated or used out of context over the years. Personally, I just think it’s time to move forward. It happened, mistakes were made, regrets were had. It happened half a decade ago, I think it’s time to let that particular incident go.
@@sassyghost_8 Are you reading the same thing I'm reading? He didn't apologize for what he said, he's lamenting the horrendously bad optics he engaged in.
"No matter right or wrong" perfectly encapsulates his thinking: 'I don't regret having racist viewpoints, I regret not having publicly expressed them in a more digestible, PR-friendly way.'
9th, say I’m cringe all u want
Uhhhhhh
Ooooooo... 😬😬 That last part with the Somalian Pirates was pushing the racism envelope. Me being Kenyan/American, it was major cringe 😬
These are collab videos that I haven't watch, and I'll support you guys, but not JonTron ~ god knows how many people felt encouraged by him to avoid getting vaccinated, it's depressing.
jontron is the funny guy tho
People are personally responsible and accountable for their own actions and research. Trying to pass the blame onto someone else is ridiculous.
@@franciscoOrellana29 Yeah, the talent is there, he is just not for me now.
@@Haruka_MayExactly. If you’re so weak willed and easily influenced that you didn’t get vaccinated because of the personal opinions of an Internet personality, you’re the one with the problem.
@@Haruka_May So Hitler was a chill dude because he never physically shoved Jews in a Chamber?
Jontron is a bad influence for Internet Historian.
They're perfect.
still not sure about you letting jontron getting away with being a nazi but fun otherwise.
It was 6 years ago yeah? Time to let go of people being stupid in the past and focus on them being stupid in the present.
Claiming Jontron is a Nazi just completely invalidates anything else you say. It's so over the top and ridiculous that it makes it clear you're not operating on facts, just out-of-control emotions and virtue signaling for external validation.
@Ozymandias2x
Jacksmith is not the brightest one.
Oh no.
Not that.
"why are they exaggerating her accent?!" well JonTron still hasn't rescinded his neonazi comments so that might be it
what?
Someone didn’t watch his follow up video where he clarified the points he worded poorly and stated that he truly regretted and didn’t mean some of the things he said.
@@whocares6757Glad to see someone actually followed the drama to the end instead of just watching or hearing about the debate and getting mad without the full context.
@@sassyghost_8 Doing damage control after realizing racism is still largely unpopular in the court of public opinion doesn't take away from the fact that he nonchalantly, earnestly and consistently expressed and defended blatantly racist viewpoints throughout the entire debate.
@@whocares6757 Not really a lie if it's explicitly true that he never actually rescinded anything he said. He said he was sorry for it happening, not for the beliefs, and he never said he didn't believe what he said. He clarified that he had bad optics/he shouldn't have said some things.
Has everyone just forgotten that Jontron's a racist?
"They'll call you a racist but never a liar."
