I love fried tripe didn’t think people still ate this Oh my goodness mother dear I put potatoes on top of my pot i’ll try onion the next time I didn’t start eating tripe until I moved to the south👍 I would give $20 for one of those sandwiches oh my i’m headed to the grocery store to get me some right now!!!!!
Beef tripe is one of my favorite part of the meat but I have never done it this and have not even thought about it! But it came out so well I wish I can give it a bite 😩! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you and your mother in law for this video! I remember my grandmother use to make this and no one knew how she did it you just brought it back to life! Thanks so much!!!🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
That St. Louis for you: The only thing is when my grandmother makes it, she takes onions and actually puts them in the actual trike pot while it's boiling. And she let hers boil for about 9 hours . But other than that It's pretty much the same recipe. Nothing like a good tribe sandwich. St. Louis in the house
I have never heard of this, but it sure does look AMAZING. The only way I've ever had tripe is curried, which is the the way we eat it in the Caribbean. Very nicely done. Thanks so much for sharing. Sandee
Hello Taylor This tripe looks absolutely delicious, I never had this before my grandma did not cook this but a lot of my Subscribers are asking me to cook it I don’t know how!!! WOW this looks absolutely phenomenal it is fried to perfection... 👍🏽🍋🍋
I got some yesterday and I didn’t know I need to boil that long. It’s on now though I haven’t had it in over 30 years my grandmother used to make it. 😋 I hope my kids like it ❤
wow Brandon I've never tried tripe before but this sure looks good. Really delicious and crispy, gotta love it. Well done, need to look out for this meat now!
I have tried beef tripe before. I cook it with beans . We add the beef tripe to the beans stew and eat it over rice. I never had fried beef tripe. I will give it a try. It looks delicious.
Wow i love tripe its very popular where I'm from but I never had it fried. Those looks very delicious I will be trying this but will pressure the tripe to cut cooking time. Thank you for sharing.
Brandon my brother....man I haven't had tripe in over 20 plus years. I only ate tripe when my Grandma cooked it and both fried and Curried. Thanks for sharing my brother take care and have yourself a great one. God Bless 🙏🏽
Yummy!!! Yummy!!! This looks so good. Now this is a sandwich I would totally love to make and not share. LOL. Thank you so kindly for sharing, I really enjoyed this.
You don't have to boil it that long to tenderize it. I soaked it in a baking soda and water solution overnight, rinsed it and boiled it in water and vinegar for only about 1 hour. It was tender and lost it's barnyard smell/taste. Saves a lot on the cooking bill.
Shut up!!!! I never even considered frying tripe. Ooooh, but I already know it's banging.. Especially with hot sauce. I'd add some mayo too. Thanks for sharing!!
Oh good grief I have never seen this done before your Country Fried Beef Tripe Sandwiches look sensational Brandon WOW I love tripe and would LOVE to try one of these!!!!
Can say I've never had tripe before, the way your mother in law made it looks amazing! Like a thin pork cutlet👍 thanks for sharing Brandon! Have a great one brother, you all stay safe!👍👊🍻
Wow that’s awesome. Never had fried. I remember once had tripe in fridge to make menudo but I was so hungry I threw it on the kettle with a little bbq sauce and put over rice. It was awesome.
Thank you! I always wanted to know how to make tripe. I always depended on buying tripe sandwiches when I was in St. Louis. Now that I've moved I guess I can make my own now.

My dad and my mom’s mom would bound over all this offal meats (mountain oysters, liver, brains, stomach and intestines, etc) I mess with tongue and sweet breads. If you have leftovers fried tripe you can make it into shrimp creole w/o the shrimp over white or chop it up into bite size pieces and fry it again super hard and throw your favorite Cajun/creole/ dry rub
I soak mine in vinegar before cooking it gives the and extra pop of taste / flavor better with vinegar plus I don't make sandwiches I eat them straight from the hot grease better to me without the EXTRA I love that bare flavor
I’m sure it’s delicious, I will have to try it this way, but why not just add the onion to the pot, with a touch of vinegar?…And you say milk, would it be okay to use buttermilk, heavy cream, or half and half instead ?

Is tripe similar in texture to chicken gizzards?
Would pressure cooking tripe reduce cooking time and still give a good piece?
Yes, absolutely
