Hey YouTubians! Tony here with another watch review and this time it is of the CASIO F-105W Digital Watch (Module 1572).
So, in this review we take a look around the CASIO F-105W, see what it is made of, show you some of the features of the CASIO F-105W and then pop it on our wrist and say what it is like to wear.
We also compare the CASIO F-105W against the iconic CASIO F-91W and mention what our pick would be out of the two.
It goes without saying that the Casio F-91W is a great affordable watch which withstands the test of time in terms of popularity and retro chic. Sometimes you need a little more than just a bit of retro chic and that is where we believe that the Casio F-105W comes in. The F105W is near identical to the F-91W in terms of size, shape and overall design but it does have one big stand out feature which compares favourably to the Casio F-91W.
    Hope you enjoy the video!

We Try Anything is a channel dedicated to trying a wide range of products and sometimes experiences and as our name suggests, we aim to trying just about anything - from watches to trainers, technology to larger items like cars. Our main goal is to put various products and experiences to the test so you don't have to.
At this moment in time, our focus is on watches, particularly those from that brand that everyone knows and loves, Casio. Our main reviewer, Tony, has a deep-rooted connection with Casio watches, having worn and enjoyed them since his childhood in the late seventies. This connection extends all the way through the eighties to the modern day. Of course, we also feature watches from other brands, especially those that catch Tony's interest with their unique designs or features.
We will mainly aim to upload a weekly video featuring Casio watches and tutorials on how to use them effectively. Additionally, we'll keep things fresh by sprinkling in reviews of other intriguing products and experiences mentioned earlier. Make sure to subscribe to We Try Anything so you never miss out on our latest content!
We've compiled a list of some of the Casio watches that have been uploaded to the We Try Anything Channel, featured below, and we've even filmed tutorial videos for some of them - so be sure to check them out!!

I have an F105W. I really kind of like the "distressed" look of your used one. Great video.

A huge advantage of the F-105 over the F-91 is the ease if battery change. F-105 has a battery latch like most Casio's, the F-91 battery is trapped inside the module and you need to remove the module to get at it.

The W-86 is not available in the US (the F-105 is). Another alternative would be the W-217H, which does not use an electroluminescent panel, but the LED backlight is perfectly usable, and has 50m water resistance, a bit better than the F-105. For some reason they swapped the functions of the top left and the right button, but otherwise it works the same way.

I've had this same watch for about a year now. It is my absolute favorite from Casio. The flat black matte finish is starting to wear off a little bit but it's not quite as shiny as yours. That's fine, it has more character as the years go by. Thanks for sharing.

You are very welcome and it is one of my favourites to wear as well.
If you get the chance, you should also try the Casio W-86 digital watch which is close in size to the F-105W with the same Electroluminescent backlight plus you get that versatile 50m of water resistance which makes it the ideal beater watch.
See what you think and thank you for commenting!

Seems like an A-168 in resin clothing. The 168 is the chromed resin one with stainless bracelet, slight step up from the basic 158. I'm wearing a 168 right now. Great to sleep in, with the EL backlight, and it's barely noticeable on the wrist. I suppose the F-105 would wear even better, with no hard metal edges, and would be nicer outdoors, with no shiny metal to bounce sunlight into your eyes. Impossible to go wrong with these EL models.

Ha ha it certainly was and I have to admit it is quite a hardy watch to wear and that is the beauty of these Casio watches being durable and easy on the wrist and eyes.
