    I would like to say I love the EZR extruder I have them on all 5 of my printer and it for sure thanks to you @CHEP great video.

    One thing Chuck skipped over that is worth noting, the EZR is the same extruder that SeeMeCNC developed for use on their multi thousand dollar industrial delta printers.

  • @HackMonkey
    @HackMonkey Год назад +6

    The EZR is such a simple, yet awesome extruder! Shame SeeMeCNC doesn't offer them on Amazon. Only because they would then get the exposure they deserve. I am shocked China hasn't cloned them yet. Such a huge improvement in quality, and usability.

      I much prefer the dual drive gear extruder with 3:1 drive ratio. Never slips and tons of torque. Also has enclosed filament path. It's not see through though, which would be a nice bonus.

    • @HackMonkey
      @HackMonkey Год назад

      @@engineer1692 I have a similar BMG extruder on another printer, and they are good as well. But I really think the EZR holds its own against a BMG style extruder. And they are a very easy swap in, and require zero maintenence (in my experience ).

    I love this extruder! I run the EZR on both my CR-10s and now my Ender 2 Pro. On my Ender 2 Pro, had to replace the extruder stepper motor because mine had a short shaft and a pressed on filament gear. Luckily a replacement stepper motor is cheap.

    I love that you can see the filament at all times while loading it; that's the issue I have with mine, it always snags somewhere, and I can't tell if it's on the extruder wheels or the entry to the PTFE tube after. This would be an ideal fix for that issue.
    Thinking about it, though, would this be a downgrade for a CR10s-Pro with the supposed Bondtech dual hobbed drive gears?

    Chuck how do I set the Z offset and have it stay? That’s the only part I’m missing on this printer? Do I just have to mechanically adjust the switch? Just bought your bed leveling tool and love it. All my other machines have a probe and the z offset wizard. I’m only able to live baby step it and then the next print I have to do it again.

I immediately switch it off and it doesn't want to turn on after that. Can you please help me with this I hope I didn't destroy it

    Never tried an SerMeCNC EZR extruder. I do hear good things about it though.
    Not sure I will get one though. Maybe one day I may, just to try it out. But I sort of fell in love with the Bondtech LGX extruders. Both are great but I particularly love the LGX Lite.
    Before them I would swap those creality extruders with a BGM extruder, either a Bondtech or a Clone, as the ceality stock extruders are crap in my opinion. Even their metal versions. I just hate that design. :)
    Anyways. Now I just use the LGX's, unless it's a delta where I use a remote direct drive like the Flex3Drive or Zesty Nimble. The LGX extruders are so easy to load filament and I never have issues with them feeding any type of filament. The Lite version is a great alternative for direct drive. I currently have one installed on my Neptune 2 as a direct drive and plane to convert a few others from Bowden to Direct Drive as well.

    I can't recommend the EZRstruder, even though I wanted to like it. I had one on my Ender 3 Pro, and after about 6 months of regular printing, the bearing on the red part started coming loose, allowing the filament to slide up over the top of the bearing. It couldn't be fixed. I went to an authentic Bondtech BMG and haven't looked back.

    @CHEP, Hi Chuck, I have seen your videos regarding this extruder before. If I look at the seemecnc page it states its compatible with all filament types but states its not compatible with glow in the dark filament. Why would this be an issue? Have you tried glow in the dark with it?

    • @FilamentFriday
