    Timmy desperately clinging to the fact that Miorby hasn't recently read the book that he admitted he "only skimmed" is one of the most pathetic things I've seen on the internet. Timmy claimed sue was a narcissist in his original video. Some one should tell him that one of the key behaviors of a narcissist is never taking responsibility for one's actions, even when confronted with evidence.
    Timmy has done a damn good job on his own showing everyone how much of a pitiful person he really is. Timmy should stick to Tarkov videos, I for one, don't want his two cents or his feeble journalism.

It seems like he read a bunch of OTHER peoples half baked comments on Sue Klebold, and thought "you know they might have a point" (as most people would at first,but the difference between him and most people is that most people would actually bother trying to validate those claims and once they did find how wrong those statements actually are. He did not, he only looked for the things that confirmed what he already believed and what he thought would make a provacative video). Reading the descriptions he has for both of his channels it seems like he has this belief that he is like intellectually superior to people? Major snobby redditor vibes basically.

    What scares me is that Timmy is apparently a father. I think he has daughters but I don’t remember. One of the issues I have with him is that he sounds like one of those “I know my child best 100%” and “MY child would NEVER do that!” kinda parents in his video. As someone who was once a teenage girl who was “not like other girls” (and by that I for some reason thought having a healthy relationship with my parents was “different”) I did in fact keep secrets from them. As a freshman in high school I was in a relationship with an 18 year old and would constantly message him through Facebook. I would have never admitted to being groomed. I would have said I was “mature” for my age cuz I “wasn’t like everyone else.” My point is that, you really don’t know your kids Timmy. Whether they’re in an inappropriate relationship or have thoughts of harming themselves or others, it can be difficult to see the signs even in todays world and even if you have a good relationship with them.

    • @Meowch3
      @Meowch3 11 месяцев назад +8

      This is such a fantastic point. More parents need to understand that getting along great with your kid is NOT a sign that you have a healthy relationship with them. Your kid knows what upsets and pleases you better than anyone else in the world. Nature has made it as easy as possible for them to pick up on these emotional cues because their survival literally depends on it. Over time, your child will unconsciously suppress the parts of himself that overtly displease you and play up the parts that you like. These powerful attachment instincts help a child survive, as rejection and separation from caregiver = death.
      Getting along great can just mean that, in order to preserve the relationship with the parent, the child has wisely chosen to hide those parts of herself that mom or dad would reject. For a parent in this predicament, what that really means is that while your kid loves you, she doesn't feel accepted by you. She doesn't feel safe enough to trust you with secrets and is protecting you emotionally from her own self. She knows you'd flip and lose your sh!t if you found out the truth. You can't handle her.
      A relationship where the child has to hide parts of himself because his parents can't handle the truth of him is, I believe, how deeply troubling incidents strike loving, well-intentioned families. Loving feelings are not enough to raise a child well. To be a parent, you HAVE to know your kids, otherwise it is impossible to provide what the child needs emotionally to become a self-regulated mature adult. The real task is to cultivate a safe space for your children to talk to you about anything. If they're keeping secrets, you know you've messed up. Timmy probably understands this at a gut level. He may actually be a really great father if he's paying extra attention to this often overlooked side of parenting...or he could just be searching for an ego-boast by putting parents like Sue down. Who knows.

I am trying to think of any other time we've ever focused this much on the parent of a criminal or that anyone has suggested they're the only reason why they did what they did. The fact he deleted the response video he made speaks volumes about how he really can't stand to any kind of scrutiny when questioned, yet he apparently seems to think Sue is unable to do this?

    Idk if you or anyone will read this but I appreciate your video as well as your response Miorby. Especially keeping everything up and making corrections and taking accountability for errors in a meaningful way. I remember when I watched Timmy’s video when it came out and I kept getting this weird feeling that he got things wrong and immediately fact checked things I had read a long time ago. The whole video just came off as a character assassination of Sue and the whole controversial topic of Columbine that is rarely covered anymore considering how common similar things happen now. It was like he was hoping he could spin a narrative about a topic no longer fresh in people’s minds in order to avoid any pushback. Coming off that successful Tarkov video he decided dip into covering things like Sue or his other video about Ruby Franke like a journalist. Except RUclipsrs are not held to the same standard as a journalist because if his original video was printed as an article it would’ve never gotten published as it is cherry picked opinion and not journalistic fact. And with people now getting most of their info from videos like his instead of actual verified sources and journalistic accounts there needs to be some better accountability and something in the way of journalistic integrity by citing of sources in video descriptions, making meaningful corrections as needed, and making it clear that a video like Timmy’s is an opinion, not a fact. But anyways you got a like and subscribe from me and I look forward to more videos in the future. Despite what Timmy said I think you got a good future on here.
