Firstly thanks for the review in English
I own one of these and i totally disagree about the lack of torque it's got plenty every where also you can tour on it i do I've ridden from England to the south of France (i have a high screen ) you can ride all day with this as fast as you like but as the man says it's not made for a pillion.one of the outstanding features is it's stability in fast bends its rock solid and totally planted .its also very economical due to the torque you can just stick it top and ride fast just rolling on and off the throttle if you do this you'll get over 50 mpg .the bike built is super solid and the gear box is as slick as they come and you don't need anything faster than this on the public roads.Suzuki get you act together and bring out proper luggage.more people should try these if you do i think you will be pleasantly surprised.

My favorite 1000PS reviewer, and with the usual honest opinions. Cool beard too. I really hope you guys will review the upcoming CRF1000L! Thanks for all your cool videos. :)

Good review. I'm a bit surprised about the lack of torque comments at low revs. The one I test rode had lots of torque from around 2,000 rpm. Great riding bike, lots of low to mid range torque, very nimble and light weight. I also thought the stock exhausts was one of the best I've heard.

I agree, the gray on the F looks good, and the Blue on the Naked looks good.

Greetings from Puerto Rico. Thank you for reviewing this fantastic motorcycle and thank you very much for your time and effort to produce the videos in English. I own a 2009 Kawasaki Monster Edition ZX-14, but if I could, I would purchase the Suzuki GSX - S1000F in grey with the Yoshimura exhaust and find a smaller (not taller) dark colored wind shield. Long live 1000PS!

Right about 7-8k the power band starts and this thing moves. I think it is perfect. Plenty of power low and high in the rpms. I can do a wheelie no problem without popping the clutch. It is an all around enjoyable bike, whether on long rides or just cruising around. Will be putting an MCcruise control on it when i save enough money.

Neil Cole No they are not. Most reviews of this bike are from sports riders who don't understand that this bike is Suzuki's sport-touring offering. Except it is fuck all use for touring. Obviously this was going to have very low sales. Ridiculous to offer a touring bike that can't take luggage or pillion very well. This is only useful for touring if you are travelling alone with a small tailbag or backpack, just like you could on any sports bike.

@@columkenn if Suzuki made an integrated pannier solution this bike would do well as a sporty tourer.
Is super nice to drive it - just need that need of luggage...
And btw.. find a wife with a bike of her own to tour with 😉

I took one for a test ride and I loved it. I am a commuter so think it will do well as my next bike, although I am also thinking of the Tiger 800 XRx

Decent review, but would it be so difficult to imbed statistics over the video? The video would have improved tenfold had data been smuggled in, like fuel consumption, maintenace schedule, cost of OEM "accessories", tire information, gear ratios, and more. I do like the style of review though, no shouting or squid shenanigans. Thanks.

Good job on this. If Suzuki would have given this bike reasonable passenger accommodations and at least the option of integrated luggage, I would have been interested, but as it is, the bike is too limited in its uses.

Motorcycle Extremist Mind-boggling that a bike manufacturer offers a Sports-touring bike that can't tour.

Hi and thankyou kindly for your review. You make a very interesting subjective distinction between the subtly different two versions of the same basic machine. What I don't get is the Dyno charts seem to show it has plenty of torque developed at 4,000 rpm, but like you say there's not much "get up and go" under 6,000 rpm. Yet the Z1000 has similar dyno torque figures but feels much stronger coming on from 4,000rpm? Any suggestions to why that is how it feels please? I am fairly sure in 4th gear the roll-on acceleration from 4,000rpm on the Z1000 would have much better oomph the GSX S1000. But a real live compare test would be good :)

    • @columkenn

Robin Michalik You can tour with luggage and pillion on the Z1000SX, you can't with this.

i think its a gsxr version meant for the ageing men who rode the sport bikes in earlier years...still the great sporty engine but with better upright ergonomics to satisfy the ageing fans! I wish my bandit had 145 poines!
