Just want to echo what the others are saying: this review format is amazing... so much content, clear and concise opinions and REALLY in-depth reporting on all the bike's features and behaviors. Really fantastic work! Thanks.
Nice review of the bike I've own one for just on a year and really can't fault it.It's good in traffic although the throttle takes a little bit of getting used too but on the highway it is where it really comes into it's own.
Honest questions from someone looking to get this bike who owned GSX-R750 1- How is the night visibility of LCD dash? Is clear as GSX-R red? 2- Is there a separate indicator for left or right turn signal? 3- How are the headlights? Can you ride this bike at night safely? 4- How is the passenger seat? Is it comfortable for 1 hr trip? 5- How does the bike handle idleing in the 90F weather? Is it uncomfortable like Ducati's? 6- Is there anyway to get a quickshifter on this bike? 7- How are the brakes? Are SS lines needed? 8- Lastly, is there a shift light? thanks
Most manufacturers today seem to be allergic to 1100-1200+cc 4-bangers in the street-sport category. Got all these bikes below 1000cc, a bunch of bikes at 1000cc or a bit above, and nothing at all until you have the massively heavy giant touring bikes or hyper bikes. Seems the 1250 Bandit was the last of its kind with 80 ft-lb torque off idle. 6speed gearbox on the GSX-S is super slick, super precise, and super STUPID gear ratios. Really tall 1st gear, and really short 6th gear with the rest jammed together.
Excellent review of the bike, you covered all the basis and rode in a scenic area by the water, well done ! I was considering this bike, but purchased the 2016 Kawasaki Z1000 instead, I think the look is killer and I normally wouldn't go for a naked bike.
Just add ($300 installed) HyperPro front fork springs And it will flick like a light 750. It will also fix the vibration. I got the GSX-S1000 n live Tail of the Dragon 🐉 🐉 318 turns in 11.6 miles
Great video with alot of knowledge and insight for those looking at a purchase. However the audio is very poor. Very hard to understand what your saying.
I'm almost 4k miles into my 2016 and I like the bike. My only complaints are the touchy throttle, especially at the low end, and the crappy ignition key switch, which gets stuck from time to time. Other than that, this is a very solid bike. I probably should have gotten the 750cc version as once I get to 7k-8k rpm's on my 1000, I've had enough. Supposedly, this bike is marketed towards people like me: over 40 (I'm turning 50 in a few months) who don't want the bad street manners and riding position of a standard crotch rocket. A sport touring bike this is not nor was it meant to be. I can pretty much stay fatigue-free for about 40 minutes of non-stop riding and then need a break, but perhaps that's just me since I'm old or "older." LOL
@RIP EVO: My butt starts aching but whose doesn't on a sport bike? Also, and it's probably just me since I'm 50, but my mid-back cramps up a lot. I'm probably just de-conditioned. Have to build up my core :)
Hi Gen X'r - why no DRL - have you asked Suzuki? 5 videos all from Lanch of this motorcycle has the daytime running lights on either side of the main headlights. This is basically showing customers one version and delivering another version for another market !! Suzuki US needs to fix it soon. I agree with you on the throttle and ignition switch issues. But this to me is very comfortable bike. I rode mine the first day I bought it for almost 2 hours solid and only stopped to pee haha. I could ride this one all day with very little fatigue. Of course I am 37 years old so maybe that's it. I love this bike overall. All the power you could want and comfort for the aging guys who just can't ride the GSXR series anymore. I think Suzuki nailed it with this bike.
I don't know what a throttle problem is referring to. I can tell you we never experienced anything whatsoever that I would term a throttle problem. If we did it would be noted. I believe we already mention things nobody else has ever reported on. This is a fun bike - the roll-on power is addictive and I miss it.
I have ridden one as well, maybe it was a bike-specific problem but it had an on-off throttle (throttle response was smoothed out when i engaged more traction control)but it is EASILY sorted out with a power commander. Then it is smooth as a babies butt :)
IM NOT COMPLETELY SURE ABOUT THIS, BUT IF NOT MISTAKEN... I FEEL LIKE IVE BEEN ON THIS SAME RIDE YO WHERE ON..... I’m gonna take a guess and tell me if I’m right? YOU WHERE ON NACIMIENTO FERGUSSON RD JUST SOUTH OF LUCIA THEN HIGHWAY 1 NORTH TOWARDS CARMEL/MONTEREY? BEAUTIFUL RIDE! I JUST BOUGHT A 2018 GSXS1000F
Do you feel this bike has snatchy throttle? and hard to constant speeds in low gears? because Im thinking to get one, but a lot of review mentioned that.
As I just posted above - This is a common complaint by many. Our bike had none of this which leads me to believe Suzuki updated something. Let's hope they did,
Both the GSX-S1000F and the new 2023 GSX-S1000GT suffers from the same poor design choice. The seating position feels weird and looks weird when people are riding these bikes. Sitting that upright on a sport bike, just weird. It looks like someone riding on a scooter when you see them riding these bikes. And when I test rode it , it just felt so weird sitting dead upright like that on a sport bike. All your weight on your bum, huge pain in my butt-cheeks after 2 hours. They should have made the riding position like they did with the Kawasaki H2SX, BMW S1000R, Tuono, Speed Triple, Ducati Supersport 950 and so on. Those are sport bikes with that nice semi-aggressive riding position where you lean forward a bit, enough to feel sporty and to even out equal weight on your wrists and butt. You then also lean into the wind more with 15-20 degrees forward lean on your back which makes the wind easier to go through.

Thank you so much!
The most detailed motorcycle review I have ever watched. I also appreciate the understatement and lack of music.
So glad I found this channel.
I plan on getting this bike next season, love the content and format you use. Great info, no annoying music, no giddy laughs after wheelies.
Been searching for proper reviews on the GSX S100F and this is by far the best review on RUclips. Looking forward to part 2
Thank You!
This is probably the most informative review i've watched.. Keep this format.. It works
Thank You! A lot went into doing his test.
WTF? Been watching videos on this bike for weeks, and yours are only now just showing up for me.
Love this review. Best on RUclips regarding the GSXS1000. Thank you!
This review is absolutely amazing. Well done!
Great vid, thanks for taking the time to make such a detailed vid. Love mu gsx-s1000f
Thank You!
THE BEST motorcycle review if you are interested in buying the bike. Not a casual review though. Wished you guys were making more. What happened?
Nice looking bike. Not like the MT10!
WTF were Yamaha thinking!!??!!??

Excellent review looking to purchase a 2022 bang for the buc.
Thanks for sharing review video parts 1&2. I had a test ride recently and loved it so much, I ordered one! Can't wait for delivery... ye ha 😎
Good review. Almost reminds me of my Motorcycle Consumer News, now defunct, of video reviews. Objective based rather than subjective.

Really good review! With the some audio tweaks though it would be really good.Keep it up! :)
Great roads and review. What road is this? Considering getting one of these. Do you find the close ratio gearing a deal breaker or no big deal?

Nice review mate, that road your riding on looks awesome.

Gen X'r What is getting fatigued on your body after 40 minutes?

+Gen X'r Thanks for the reply. I'm thinking of switching from a GSXR, but the issues you have sound like the same issues I currently have. LOL.

Excellent review
Because of poor audio I quit @ 2:00 :/
Does this tell everyone about how quiet or not the cockpit is?
this not touring bike but more to naked bike but have half faring...
