I’m late to comment on this video but I love this coating a lot. I didn’t even realize till now that this was optimized for UK weather, makes sense now why this is so easy to use in my BC climate. Our climate is very similar to the UK
I have to admit that this was a visually satisfying in depth video first person point of veiw. And thank you for pointing out how low temperatures can affect the viscosity of the coating when applying. The application is pretty much easy as putting butter on bread if you do all the steps to prep. Your video gives a lot of confidence to weekend enthusiast as other detailers videos are so dramatic and scare people like its the end of the world if you apply a ceramic coating. The secret is taking your time 2x2 section at a time and that second and third microfiber towel will always ensure no high spots are left. That simple. Thanks again for the video
Thank you Sandro. I am glad i chose this as my "first" ceramic coating. My knowledge of the product & confidence to use has been dramatically increased. 🙏🏻
Another fantastic video Sandro. With the colder weather now here in the lower regions of Australia, it’s important to know the details you mentioned regarding flash times and wipe off issues as you mentioned. Good to see you getting more creative and confident in your video editing/production skills too. Keep up the great work mate!
I've been watching your channel for ages now, if I remember correctly you were around a thousand subscribers when I found you, and I can tell you for certain that your videos are getting better and better every single time. Very well done on those macro shots my friend, and thank you so much again for everything that you share with us. The knowledge you share is invaluable.
Mate well done. I bought this new product ( and a shed load of Car pro products) and will be tackling my Mondeo in July. Your videos have inspired me. The level of information and detail and to be honest your smooth and easy to listen to delivery is what keeps me coming back. If im ever in Melbourne Ill buy ya dinner ;) Im in Ireland but il get to Aus eventually...Cya and thanks again ;)
I'm sure that if it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have a passion for detailing. I was really looking forward to this videos since no one that I know has made a side by side comparison. Thank you so much, Sandro! And as long as you keep going, I'll be supporting you!
Thanks for the tips! And perfect timing - 3.0 came in the post yesterday and I'm almost finished my paint correction in preparation for my first coating application. BTW, love your work - videos are great reference material and your filming and editing techniques are awesome! Keep up the good work, cheers!!
I just applied this to half of my porcelain sink, filled the sink half way up and drained it. The treated side was bone dry, meanwhile the untreated (yet just cleaned) side had water sticking all over it. Once my wife sees it, it will probably become a requirement... And likely will need to do the other half of the sink too.
Thanks Sandro. Great video. I think. That. Its great uk3.0 make. It simple to use that makes more climate friendly company's that. Is away trying to make their products. Better it tell you that car pro is company. Striving to make good products better Thank another great video Sandro. You are away making video better with more great detaing info
Excellent review Sandro! Your editing skills are on point! Thanks for your efforts mate, truly appreciated and very well received by all. Interesting product, looks like when the original cquartz wears off the wife's golf this will be it's replacement. Mind you it's only been 7 months and so far the old cquartz is killing it😉
Car Craft Auto Detailing I hope so mate, I am keeping up the 2 to 3 monthly reload coatings and even use megs xpress wax occasionally as a topper. Looks bloody fantastic!
Man, Sandro, you really take it to the next level. Excellent video and all around great information. I love messing around with different waxes and sealants, and I'm just not ready for the commitment of a coating just yet. But this is certainly a product that I would like to try soon. Thank for your insight. 😀
Every car guy detailers dream when that water 💦 just fell off the bonnet like butter that’s epic can’t wait to see those results on my car awesome video 👍🏻
Hey Sandro, Great review mate, my favourite part was for sure the close ups of the water behavior, it almost gets a bit hypnotised could watch that for hours. Any word on Concours bringing a new coating out in the near future? Cheers jono
G'day Sandro well you certainly proved its capabilities especially with the water beading test something that is needed in Tassie. It's not cheap but I think that I will give it a go now it's turned to winter, very good Sandro and helpful as usual regards John
Wow, this video is spot on. Has all the info you need to know and shows it beautifully! Great narration aswell. The beading shots should be on another website than youtube hahaha! Seems like a very good product for the price with more other coatings such as gyeon syncro and kamikaze going well over 100 dollars.
Hi mate. Some excellent camera work. Not sure if car pro are aware of the great in-depth review of Application processes and overall tips. Great job as always. Love from the uk 🇬🇧
grate vid I have been hoping you would do one on this as after playing around with the 3.0 I was keep to see what others thourt about it. UK has always been a good money maker for me its at a price point where most people after a correction can afford I love evo but uk been a cheaper coating that just works really has helped my business
Is this recommended for doing at home following the process of proper wash method with snow foam/pressure wash, drying vehicle, hand or machine polish/buff then apply cquarts?
Hi Sandro I really want to try the CQ on our Mazda CX7 so will get some in the coming months your video ramped me up to try above the sealants I have used. But still loving the polish angel master sealant on the yellow peril !
What steps would you recomend for a brand new car? APC > Clay > IPA > Coating...? I would have to do it in 5 deg. C 1. Coating > 30 sec > wipedown? 2. Coating > 1 hour> repeat?
Hi Sandro: Great vid. I have a question for you. I am about to ceramic coat a white 2012 Mercedes SLK. Paint in good condition. I would appreciate any correction to what I am planning: 1. rinse 2. Iron X whole car 3. rinse 4. Wash with Carpro wash 5. rinse 6. dry 7. clay bar 8. wipe car down with 50/50 alcohol solution. 9. Buff whole car with a foam pad and The last cut compound (do I need to use a final polish product after this)? 10. wipe car down with 50/50 alcohol solution. 11. Inspect paint and correct anything I missed 12. Apply CQuartz UK 3.0 13. Apply Carpro Gliss
Original has TI02 in it which gives a better gloss effect while 3.0 is just Si02 and provides a longer durability compared to original. States this on their website. "With CQuartz Classic we replaced some of that si02 with ti02 which gives a slicker, more glossy finish but reduces the hardness of the final coat. " Also why do you put reload down before applying the coating? It doesn't tell you to do this. Only use reload anywhere upto a hour after the coating for extra protection. And keep using ever couple of months as a topper.
Hi Sandro, I love how you breakdown the steps on the application steps. I have with me a bottle of UK 3.0 which I first opened in Oct 2019. I last applied it on a colleagues white car in June 2021 & I'm surprised that the properties still holds up well & there wasn't any discolouration. I'm writing in to ask if it's still safe to use an opened bottle? Another 2 questions i have would be how's the flash time for UK3.0 & SIC in environment of working temperature 32⁰C & humidity around 85%.
Maybe have a look at the video below to help in determining the correct flash time for SiC or really almost any coating. ruclips.net/video/AjHhhsVe_oM/видео.html It’s hard for me to guess flash times based on temp and humidity- I really have to be there and rest it out to find that out, but the video should help! Generally a closed bottle of most ceramic coatings stored in cool dark place should last a good year or two. An open bottle on the other hand should really be used within a month two a few months depending on how full the bottle is - The fuller it is the longer it will last.
I just watched the series where you did you Alfa and now feel I have a a good feel for using the Original UK, in warmer weather. One thing I don't think you mentioned: how big of a section do you feel you can get away with before wiping? Awesome channel. Thanks!
Should I add gliss on top or not even worth it since you kinda had a bad encounter with the gliss only lasting 6 months. Does the new gliss 1 direction really help gliss last longer ? I’m trying to just use 1 ceramic coating. Just for an easier washing experience.
The new CQUK 3.0 is immediately wiped dusk after you apply it. Just make sure you throughly apply it with multiple cross hatching swipes and then level it down straight after.
Sandro just a question, basically you would need to remove all contaminants from the car panels, via either wax and grease remover, then correct any paint defects, clean the areas again and then apply the CQuartz to the panels and wipe off as you go, wait at least 1 hour depending on outside temp so in melbourne's winter weather, around say 2 hours and then apply 2nd coat, but if the cars paint surface is good and used say autoglym polish all over the car, will the coating still adhere to the surface or do you have to go through every single step, like decontamination via Tar, clay, iron treatments and wax/grease remover, before you apply the CQuartz 3.0 ?
Hi Sandro.. I want to ask, my car has been coated but I want to replace it with cquartz uk 3.0. how to remove the old coating in my car? Thanks for share.. 🙏🙏
Thanks nice video! im preparing to instal mine tomorrow with 2 coats. Should you wait the 60 mins after you finished the whole car, or it starts after you applied to the first panel ? Maybe do like half the car first 2 coats then the other half ?
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing Thanks!, i applied the coating succesfully, your tips helped me alot. It took me likr 1.5 hours to complete the first layer since it was the first time. Directly after i applied the second coat. Application was very easy, not grabby or anything. Result looks great. Do you think it is ok to expose it to rain after 24 hours with reload applied like a sacrificial layer ?
Sandro, I applied a single layer of 3.0 to my dad's car a month ago. The car sits in the Vegas sun 90% of the time. I still have half a bottle left. Can I apply another layer after doing a wash with CarPro Reset? Maybe an iron decon as well?
Also sandro, the wiping cloths you get with the CQuartz, are they machine washable and NOT to use conditioners during the wash ? Basically if you car has nano treatments like say Meguiar's spray on products and ultimate polishes like the new one they brought out, do you have to remove all that product off your cars panels before applying CQuartz 3.0 ?
Do you prefer CarPro UK 3.0 or Kamikaze ISM 1.0 if price isn’t an option. Durability is the main thing I’m question bc it’ll be on a white SUV. ISM only requires one application so leaning that direction
Great info and superb video shooting and production. Not only informative, but entertaining as well 😜. What other coatings would you put in the same class with CQuartz 3.0?
Hi !, Last weekend i coated my car. (cq uk 3.0) after polishing it to perfection the car was scratch and swirl free. after applying eraser i did my cq uk . everything perfect except for the hood of my car.. after applying the coating i noticed big horizonzal and vertical scratches( a lot ) on my paint/ coating. Exactly in the directions how i applied the coating.. is there something that can cause the coating to 'make scratches ' ? all the other panels are perfect..The hood was only the second panel i coated after my roof .. i'm just curious to know what went wrong ?? thanks anyways !!
I am impressed with how helpful this video is. Other videos about 3.0 are just hype & filler. Thank you for this!

How many applications can you get out of the kit for a sub compact like a Honda civic?
So, apply one coat, wait an hour and apply another coat...let it cure for at least 7 days before getting the car wet?
Thank you for the video. Can i ask if i can use meguiars hybrid ceramic wax as s topper instead of reload is so expensive? Thank you.
