I do something similar, except my keys live in a key smart attached to a Black Diamond carabiner that clips to my belt. It minimizes the jangle and protects the keys from sight. That’s fine for around town, but when travelling they get secured in the bag for max security. Also please don’t put your keys on the outside of your pack behind you, they will get stolen! This product looks nice, but I doubt it’s as secure or long lasting as my combo, and doesn’t solve any of the shortcomings of my solution (namely the car keys). Thanks for sharing, but this isn’t for me.

Take the fidlock piece off first then remove the loop. It’s easier that way.
