Gotta thank you for bringing this into my orbit. Much appreciated. Did not know it existed. Will check it out. Thank you for your enthusiasm in all your videos. It really makes a difference and separates yours from others.
Ive gone all in with orbit and it has been a game changer. From the Key Clip, to the Darth Vader Key organiser, and the Nest along with the small notebook. Thanks again for the great Content Marcus 😎
I’ve had one for six months, and don’t use it nearly as often as I thought I would. It looks great and is well made (I got the light Con Mari edition), but it’s a bit bulky for minimalist air travel and the hinge isn’t as nifty as it seems. The whole thing ends up being more of a hassle than a life-simplifier. I’ll keep it around and will travel with it again soon, but at the moment it’s just in a drawer, unused.
The fact that they haven't made a version without the charging capability is baffling to me. They could reduce the price a bit and essentially get a lot more people on board...like me.
These look really good. They're on clearance currently so it's tempting to buy one... But I also reeeaally don't want to if they're about to launch a V2 or something. 😬
Great review. It's great hey - I have one on my home office desk but thinking of another for my desk stand. The Kon Mari one is a bit special but a bit exec as well. Sensational product tho :)
Maybe? Who knows 😂. I’ve definitely got a video in mind for January on my ‘Can’t live without EDC’. Cheers for the heads up (and unwavering support Cain)
First off, I don’t know if it’s because of the way you used it in the video, but the lid seems to be coming apart from the hinge anyway. But my main question is- how is one supposed to carry this thing? The contents can easily fit into a small EDC sling bag but putting them in this box, you now need a larger satchel or bag pack. The logic is completely reversed here.
You’ve got a keen eye @justpabs. I did in fact change up my watch this year. I’ve always been a Rolex + Apple Watch guy but the Ultra changed that for me. Will likely do an update on my EDC in Jan. Thanks for watching.
Yeah noticed that too: gap in videos for a few months, and no Rolex in the last 3 videos. Did you sell it? With the amount of Rolex stick ups this side of the pond (London) I was worried you'd maybe been robbed.
@@baldwinmagadza6638 not robbed thankfully. It’s back in its box at the moment appreciating in value. I fell in love with the Apple Watch Ultra for sheer utility this year and ended up switching out the Rolex entirely. Still put it on for special occasions and will undoubtedly make it my daily again at some stage, but for now, I’m loving the Ultra. Will do a video on it.
I had a similar dilemma, and after rotating through 4 generations of Apple watch I now just wear a Breitling I bought to mark a special life event. It's a difficult watch to wear once in a while as you really feel its weight if you don't wear it for a week then you put it on. I like that it's the only part of my kit that I'm still going to have in 5, 10, 15 years time. All my tech is purposely designed to expire in 2-3 years - this is purposely designed to outlive me. Look forward to hearing the reasoning (or Apple marketing 😉) that prised the Rolex off your wrist in one of your upcoming videos! Cheers
I don’t get the elastic band closure. Why no latch? The bungee covering the indented area would bug me. IMO they should lose the funky hinge for a regular hinge and replace the bungee with a latch. Then I would buy one.
i have some problems with charging my iphone 12 pro max. difficult to center the exact point for the charge. which iPhone are you using? everything works fine?
I was using an iPhone 12 Pro and it worked just fine. I now have a 14 Pro and it’s also fine. You need to be case full positioning it and wait for the animation before you leave it to charge. But besides that I’ve been happy with it.
The Orbitkey Nest is the most overhyped product in existence. It can easily be replaced by a cardboard box (just put a wireless charger inside it). I genuinely cannot understand why people give this thing positive reviews. There's also nothing EDC about this product unless you're wearing JNCOs (90s skater jeans) that have pockets large enough to fit one of these things.
Have to disagree with you Completely. Can fit my Microtech Pens, AirPods, Sebenza and most importantly my extra Magazine for my p226. The velcro is brilliant and allows you to audible to whatever needs to be accessed in a quick manner. The charging of my iPhone is just the cherry on top of the sundae. As somebody who works in manufacturing this has completely helped me organise my desk 😎. I carry a Thule hiker backpack to work so I also keep the Alpaca utility pouch for My Gerber Multitools and bigger items. The Orbit system has been a life changer!

Thanks Beau. Appreciate the positive feedback. Keeps me motivated to make more content. 👍🏻

But the Qi charger is oh so sweet. Love it. And it’s not crazy expensive
@@MarcusCreates 100 bucks for a case is pretty expensive for the average person, especially in this day & age
Completely agree with you - that's the version I would buy.
Great video as ever, you workspace looks great! Nice presentation as ever, I hope you and yours have a very happy Christmas and peaceful new year. P
Thanks P. Same to you.
I love my Nest, it goes everywhere with me in my bag and sits on my desk everyday!!
Isn't it absolutely epic?

Bought mine just now hahaha
@@dee9477 Nice one! Hope it's good. Yeah glad I waited for the upgrade to drop.

Very cool! Do you have a link to the one you’re talking about? Asking for a friend 😀
Uh oh! Are we back to getting regular content, maybe??
I’d love for you to go over your CANT go without EDC type items!

The hinge is the best bit. Don’t let my fumbling in the video put you off. 😂
no rolex? Apple Watch ultra? video please :)

Yes but the bungee holds my travellers journal passport size in perfect place!!
yeah, the bungee is sweet.
one thing I have to ask sir, is it safe to charge phone with the magsafe case? any answer much appreciate. cheers
I think so. Why not?
What hard drive do you use please as ive just got a orbit key next 😁
I use the sandisc hard drives. They’re amazing.

It is definitely expensive, not very deep and awkard to use. I got one but I do regret my spending.

Not all EDC needs to slip into your pocket and I certainly wouldn’t recommend the Nest for that. This is a cool desk organizer or handy travel edc.

Thanks for this review. I bought one based on it, and I'm enjoying it. Did you do a post-one-year follow-up review?
I’m glad you like it. It’s always a risk recommending something so niche but I love mine. Might include it in an upcoming video.
apparently this was their worst selling product.
Really? That’s interesting. How do you know that?
what is ridiculous is that you hardly show us the actual product and rather just yourself speaking.
Unnecessary product.
100% unnecessary. And 100% delightful. 😊
way too expensive for all the faults it has. not worth imo
I totally get it. Not for everyone. But i love it so hard!!!
Great content Marcus
Thanks buddy
