Absolute Hype!!
Battlefield 1 was about the War to End All Wars.
Battlefield V was about Man's Greatest Conflict.
Battlefield 3 was about two soldiers stopping a nuclear attack.
Battlefield 4 was about a group of soldiers defending a political leader.
And now, Battlefield 2042 is about humanity's survival in the new world where climate change changed the world forever.
I like how Dice evolved Battlefield's lore from historical events, generic wars to events that might happen 20 years from now.
God im getting big Battlefield 1 and 5 (especially BF5 Norway tracks) vibes with this feeling of hopelessness and sorrow that this track has. Truly resonates to the cruel world that 2042 is set in, where humanity is in the brink of destruction and people are desperately fighting for their lives.
Everything... is falling apart.
It’s like the best of both the historical and the modern battlefields in one.

@@jrh7178 IT doesn't work for action setpieces. Not the bombastic, Hollywood kind at least. The grim one works though as a tension build up

I love how ambient and daunting it is. I really hope the OST has more tracks like this.

So sad to see that the gritty sound and composition is in no way a reflection of the end product. Anyway. Let’s hope another studio (Ripple?) will pick up the quality and work that DICE was able to deliver for a final time back in 2016 (or: a niche studio that is able to deliver a similar title in the arcade-blended with milsim/realism sphere)

Chilling, yet beautiful. Reminds me a bit of Assassin's Creed 1 strangely when in Masyaf.
Although I don’t mind 2042 not having a campaign, this music just makes me think of what could’ve been.

Yessss same. They have easily been the best composers on Battlefield so far. Only thing i worry is that they run out of ideas. They have already done shit loads of tracks already for BF1 and 5
