The wolves as they are now are basically disposable, you breed them until you have an army and don't mind casualities simply WALKING to where they need to be. They scare off skeletons, which WOULD be cool, if they didn't increase skeletons' aim at the same time making them shoot outside the wolf's scary range.
I expected the armor to at least mitigate this casualty but as you can see, any old creeper does the same damage as before so...
A cat is stronger defense than a wolf's armor.

I think armor trimming was kind of a big thing, hopefully mojang will soon make more progression/combat updates like 1.16
Now we just have to make wolves stronger or put a friendship meter which strengthens the wolf the higher it goes
That’s a fantastic idea I wish they would add that, also wish they would add dogs like they did with cats. Like add lots of different dog breeds to villages, etc.
@@nv3363 I think the problem with that is that there are SO many dog breeds and they could only add so many, meaning people would continuesly complain "Oh please add this dog breed!" "Why aren't there these ones??". Also you don't tend to get wild dogs in the same way you get cats or wolves. It makes sense to walk through a village and see stray cats or a forest and see wolves, not so much dog breeds. That being said, I'd love a minecraft Boxer dog.

It's because the terraria dev team cares about its fanbase. Mojang made the mob vote to farm rage. Bad publicity is better than no publicity. That's why they tie features people really want to mobs nobody would care about otherwise.

I don't think foxes can wear armour like villagers can. I do know they can use swords and shit tho
@@halinaqi2194 they can, at least in bedrock. i know java is far inferior so there might not be this in it. im playing bedrock on mobile and my foxes steal armor all the time even though i gave them diamond swords and for some reason they become much tougher and i really cant killer them 1 shot. some even have thorn from trash armor from raids and countered me back lol

Bedrock does some stuff worse than Java, and Java does some stuff worse than Bedrock (examples include banners on shields, playing past updates whenever you want, and getting experimental updates sooner than bedrock, even excluding the insane number of amazing mods you can get)

@@tsa1tamaagreed, i was hoping for the armadillo to win even tho i chose not to vote bc i was hoping the wolf armor meant they were gonna update dogs and make them useful without needing like 50 of them and you could actually have a pet that could survive some damage and follow you around the world without losing to a single creeper.

It seems like Mojang doesn't want to listen the community and loves to make the game more unfun just because they don't want to put an effort into their updates, so they use mob vote as a trap to trick the community into voting so that they can say "You voted for the mob, so it is not our problem".

thats why i didn’t want wolf armor in the first place. i had a feeling it wasn’t gonna be worth it in the first place. they should’ve had a redemption round for some of the older mobs like the moobloom or copper golem to be voted on again instead of trying to add all these other mobs. like, dont get me wrong, i love minecraft n all, but cmon, theyre gonna keep adding more mobs with less advantages.

A fucking LEAF can protect you from an explosion, A LEAF,so YES, armadillo armor SHOULD tank a nearby explosion

@@droopsmoopit IS, if there's ANY block between you & an explosion you won't get damaged (if It was a bug they would've fixed It, they didn't, so It's a feature)
@polpor77 Who really knows if this stuff was meant to be a feature or not, they take so long to fix bugs that features and bugs pretty much blend together
Do you guys remember when we got mobs and features that interacted with the other stuff in the game in more than one way? Cows drop both steak (food) and leather (crafting material) and you can bucket them for milk. Even drowned (a more recent addition) dropped both nautilus shells and trident occasionally, two distinct things that may make you want to seek them out. Now we get one lazily tossed in mob that barely changes anything in the game and has exactly 1 (Sometimes not even 1) use.

in the minecraft release video they put it against almost ten creepers, but in actual gameplay it just can't even survive 1 tnt

Update: The wolf armor can survive TNT now, but only in Java, I think. I’m guessing the Bedrock armor will be buffed so it’s more similar to Java in strength but idk.
I love that Minecraft players will always find something to hate about every new feature. We'd probably complain that world peace is too boring or something like that.

The only good thing about the wolf armour and the armadillo is their behaviours I can research for my Bedrock add-ons, I'm surprised no other add-on creator has ever done this 200%

The Wolf Armour will probably get buffed to be more resistant to explosions, or they should add the ability to enchant it with Blast Protection Thorns & Fire protection

As someone who does Redstone frequently, I voted for crab.

Welp, I supposed my planned armoured wolf army would get a bit of a boost.
Now imagine jumping and getting an extra block.

No matter what mobs that we chose and added, we *will* complained all of them, like example Armadillo, people would say “it’s bad because it can’t even tank lava for several seconds”. Another example is crab, they would complaint about their ability to extended build reach, like “it’s too small” or “it’s hard to find the claw”, and the last example is penguin, some of us would say that it’s just a dolphin but for boat or useless cute mob. Like no matter what we chose, it will be bad, I assume that either The dev have a bad execution of it or Minecraft community are just ungrateful

They just need to let us enchant it and give it trims and it becomes a solid 8/10 feature

i think it would be cool to see a recipe to make different types of horse armor like diamond and netherite, and even be able to enchant it. i think that would be really sick

They could have made it good. It could've fixed some issues with pet wolves if they put some more thought into it.
Hopefully, they can make more variants for example using diamond to make diamond wolf armor like the diamond horse armor ext.

The crab claw would revolutionize pvp with items like webs, end crystals, lava and water, etc. It could also finally give us an alternative to those damn shields. But no.
