I worked at Tacoma General Hospital for almost 20 years.
Working the overnight shift doin various things, I would hear and see things here and there.
    Very fascinating to me.
Puget Sound Hospital was also another hotspot for stuff.

I lived in a huge old house (built in the early 1900s) right off of 107th & Broadway and right away I felt like that house was haunted or something happened in it. It’s still basically original and hasn’t been updated or remodeled so, it gives it that feeling of being back in time. It might sound kind of strange or silly to some ppl but, while living there, every time u were upstairs (where the bdrms are, u just get a heaviness feeling like depressed or kinda sad and my bdrm had a small closet type space in it but, if u looked inside of it, it’s like a little tunnel which I’ve never seen and it was kinda neat but, odd at the same time. Anyways, I moved out but, went to stay the wknd there recently and my bf and I stayed up in one of the bdrms and my bf told me that he didn’t like the way it felt and he couldn’t sleep the whole night and he actually scared me one night having a nightmare and thrashing around and he doesn’t believe in ghosts or anything of that nature but, he said, he never wanted to stay there again. I believe that house has some history to it and I’d really like to find out about it and to see if anything happened in it. It’s a really cool house especially since alot of it is original. If u live in or are from Tacoma (Parkland/Lakewood area) u might know of this house as it is pretty big and basically right on the corner of the street so it’s hard to miss.

Interestingly the house on 8th st is only 5 minutes away from Ted Bundy's childhood home.
Anyways, Apartments Pacific Walk are very haunted,
And West Side Estates, also. The KFC on 38th street by the goodwill and Zips...also haunted.
I keep coming and editing to add more as i remember. Point defiance house near the Rose garden (not the Pagoda) also haunted but i know the pagoda is supposed to be as well.

When I lived at Bella Vista apartments by foss high school. The apartment we lived in was haunted. When we first moved in I was 17 at the time. My baby sister was 8 she screamed and said she saw a man with red hair in the hallway. I didn't believe her cause we were the only ones home while my mom was at work.. couple years went by. My cousin called me late at night saying he was coming over.. I'm like alright. I was Rollin up a phattie. And I thought I heard the front door open and close but I wasnt sure. So I looked in the hallway and saw a massive black mass move from the front door go down the hallway into my mom's room.. her door was open and the TV was on.. the mass completely blocked the light of the TV out. I was like woah... My cousin showed up about 30 min later and I told him about it... So we put a camera up in the hall way... We put a ball in the middle of the hall way cause my cousin said ghosts like balls ( no homo ) 😂 .. but after a few min he said the ball was moving.. about 10 min went by and he saw the same thing I saw. We watched the footage. And were shocked.. you see the black mass manifest out of thin air. Go up to the ball for like 30 seconds. Then it flairs out as wide as the hallway. Then darts into the bedroom... We're like wtf. Then we did an evp.. I asked how tall it was and what color hair it had. Basic questions.. when reviewing the evp. We got 6'3 in height and red hair.. everything else wasn't very audible... Then I asked my baby sister about the man she saw that night when we first moved in.. I asked how tall he was.. she stood up on the bed had to put her hand up bout 6'3 i asked what color hair he had she said red.. I'm like damn... No sightings after that. Sometimes I herd footsteps in the kitchen next to me tho...

It's very cool seeing these haunted buildings. I once visited a friend at his office in the old city hall. He said he absolutely would not stay after 5:00. He once stayed well-after business hours to finish a project, and said that there were constant voices and people walking around inside the building.

Bahaha a few years back I lived on 7th and Commerce, right across from the old clock tower. My window looked right at the old warehouse turned parking garage. Of course if there was chanting, I'd have never heard it because that part of town is always bumping at night. People used to love taking photos though, the flash photography was constant. Had some weird experiences though AMA anything I guess lol

When I was a little kid, I watched the smelting plants smoke tower get imploded and dropped, I watched it at the top of the hill that is between the Ruston waterfront and the Ruston police station, my grandparents lived a 5 minute walk from point defiance park, 2 blocks from the police station, then when I was in my mid 20s my ex girlfriend and I lived in old Town, so that whole area holds a special spot in my heart

I am 61 years old and grew up in Tacoma. My family has been here since the 1800's. When I was in high school, my friends and I went to the old Western State hospital in Steilacoom in the middle of the night. We climbed the fence and got into a window on the lower floor and started walking the hallways in the dark. One of the guys had a flashlight, and we were looking into the rooms that we then realized was an old medical wing. One room had old dental equipment and chairs. It was so freaky looking. We stood at the door and shone the flashlight in there, and a whole dental tray on wheels flipped over and we ran and screamed like hell. Maybe it was a vagrant but I don't think so cuz it was pretty well watched over. I remember we all piled back into the car. Just screaming in our hearts pounding. We were seriously so scared. Old Steilacoom is purportedly very haunted too. The old ER Rogers building that used to be a restaurant is now a law firm, and the Bahr Drug store is still there and very haunted. It is a restaurant cafe now. Once in a while on Halloween, they'll do a feature piece in the newspaper.

My house as previous owners would desrcibe as if someone is watching you constantly when your downstairs in the basement. I was up at 330 a.m. one morning and the bathroom light turned on. I was in the kitchen. If you are downstairs late at night you hear footsteps up above as well as things being moved. Doors open as well as lights being turned on downstairs when its only 2 of us and noone has been down there. Child scared of a shadow she saw. Dog barking at nothing. List goes on. Oh and banging on the front door and noone there. Ok last one. There is more. The creepiest part is my buddy stayed here before me and told me to move because of what he experienced. What a buddy to even let me move in.

    July 4th 1900 .. 43 died in a street car accident
1905 -1920 7 African Americans dead in their late teens ... As south Tacoma had a massive KKK presence ... A lynching tree. Once stood on south Oakes St ( the tree was a large Ash) the graves can be found at the. NW side of Tacoma. Cemetery
Point defiance.. the ghost of Jennifer a young girl who was killed by a Thailand immigrant (who later killed 6 year old xina a Russian immigrant) can be seen around dusk near camp 6 where the old train tracks and logging equipment once stood.
Tacoma Ave.. stairs that once led up to Chinese immigrant homes remain while their houses had been burned down as they were collectively ushered out of the city....
Tacoma has a ton of dark history, that has been hushed.
