Nirvana has a deep connection to Tacoma. They recorded the demo for Nevermind here in a converted barn and even wrote a lot of that album in the same barn. Their first show as Nirvana was in an old 1924 theater at 5441 S M St in Tacoma and the legacy continues. #wa #washington #history #nirvana #tacoma #trivia

I live in Spokane I remember when that Deep Park video was first released.
Thank you for this informative video. I moved to Tacoma in 1982, the transformation I have witnessed has been absolutely amazing!
Must be the same incident because you can see hyway 2 from the accident site
The town of SKYHOMISH was a train hub between Eastern and Western Washington the whole town revolves around trains and train history
Excuse me I was mistaken on the towns name It was SKYHOMISH WASHINGTON
I was in Snohomish Washington and above the town are two tunnels and that they had a Train stranded there when an Avalanche hit the train and that an engineer had made 2 or 3 trips to the town to get help and to try to walk people out before the Avalanche hit which took him out also on that day
State Parks does not own Ft Worden. They lease part of it from "Friends of Fort Worden". Before that it was owned my Port Townsend. A good friend of m one has worked for Fort Worden for years and is not the Lighthouse keeper at Point Wilson.
@@aimeedanielson8398 thanks for the clarification!
@@PrettyGrittyTours The true story is more fascinating. Fort Worden is truly a zen and wonderful place!
Have you done any research on the town of Lester? It is just trees and a few building remains now but was a busy NP Ry town when I worked there in the 1960's.
Speaking of Davenport mens restroom... I stopped in Harrington at the park to use the restroom and there was a glory hole cut into the stall wall 😳
Bro... Thank you sooo much for that visual aid... 😳
Once saw stephen king at a gas station in smokey point around 2000-2001 filling up a Geo metro or some other shitbox I can't remember but I know it was him lol We made eye contact but i just left in my car. I figured the guy gets enough attention

Would love to know about some Eastern Wa small towns. God knows there's a few out there lol Ritzville? Lind? very old farming towns but never know. Once took Hwy 12 going to 101 and that highway feels really really off in the middle of the night. Whole time I felt like something was watching me.... I was going 55 lmao was wild. Never go spur of the moment drives in the middle of the night since!

From San Pedro, Ca we turned the real ship “Princess Louise” into a restaurant/ prom site/ wedding venue. It was permanently docked under our bridge ( that looks like G. Gertie) for decades. One day it sank out of nowhere. Some say the owner did it for the insurance money. Some say it was the spirits from The Queen Mary ( next town south of us) Who knows 🤷♀️
❤❤❤😊awesome
I have always thought schools were creepy 😊
OMG 😲
They called them Seemstress

I work on the island at the Secure Commitment Transitional Facility. THE SCC and us are treatment facilities, not a prison. The prison has been closed since 2011. Our facilities and the prison are two separate buildings. The prison is on the shore, and we are in the center of the island.
It’s going to be beautiful
