  • Winter bouldering on Gritstone, it doesn't get much better. The Gritstone is called "Gods own Rock" for a reason but the cold temperatures provide the best friction. In this episode Maddy and Josh head out to Stanage Plantation and climb on some classic but lesser known problems; The Hippo 7A+, Sithee Direct 6C, Torture Garden 7A, D.I.Y 6B.

That throw on Hippo is hard and scary. Good work. Looks like a lovely day out. Nice to see some beta for those other lesser known problems too. They look high and scary though - I'll save them for pad-party-time.

Agreed, those later problems look terrifying.

Really cool videos. Loved to see how a same problem feels different to different people. I think it's good to see the perspective of others on a climb you are trying.

Can you recommend any good guide books for the peaks ?
I’ve got my first bouldering pad and I’m about to replace plastic for rock for the first time 👍
